As I recall, vaping with "regular" cotton or cotton yarn (not organic cotton), wasn't terrible, but it didn't allow the flavor of the ejuice to really come thru -- same for silica. So probably kinda like that -- better than nothing, but probably not as good as what you're used to.

Wow. I didn't realize there were so many hemp monkeys in these groups...
Where do ya suppose vaping came from in the first place? I bought my first vape over 20 years ago. It simply wasn't designed for ejuice.

Nothing to do with high wattage, 99% of the time it's user error, noobs with mech mods and attys or they put the batteries in the wrong way and press fire...literally.

I concede that point, but I'm 53 with failing eyes, and there's still no way I'm screwing my Ego-style battery into the tank or the charger the wrong way even if I tried.

Any tootle puffer MTL hitters here try the kangertech subtank mini V2 with the stock 1.2 or 1.5 coils or the rba at higher ohms, 8 to 12 W? I took a vape off one with my more restrictive drip tip and liked it, good flavor, thinking about getting one. How do yo think it compares to a naughty mini or GS Air if youve used those?

Have three of them and love them but I mod womp with them. I only use the RBA deck and a 28 ga kanthal build gives a decent vape at 15 to 20 watts. One of mine has a 24 ga coil in it and I been vaping it at 50 watts. Did TC with all three of them with both Ni200 and Ti wire and they performed flawlessly. I dont see why you cant vape them at 8 to 12 watts and you said you like a restrictive tip so it should give you a great vape. How it compares to the naughty mini or GS, donno. It out performs the kayfuns, i can tell you that.

I think you might be better off with a Kayfun V4, I have one and love it. I have also had a Nautilus mini and piffed away the GS Air.

The KF4 is top fill, very easy to build and wick with a removable deck. You can close the airflow off to zero or install the S-Kit for a little more maximum airflow. I use mine as a daily driver with my Rose's and FeV.

You might also want to look into the Flash e-Vapor (FeV V3), the absolute easiest RTA to build, fill and maintain. The airflow is not adjustable on the fly but very easy to set up. Top notch flavor and vapor, it's basically an RBA with an autofeed top tank that does not leak at all.

This is the build deck of the FeV.

Both great suggestions and thanks for the pics. I didn't want to get into building coils but it's looking like that's the only way to go so I can wick it to suit my needs for higher pg ratios without flooding at low power.

Yeah pretty much -- you've arrived at the point I did, when I was using T3S's, which always flood with high PG/low power, unless you use so much cotton you get dry hits. So I got a Kayfun... and found my bliss. For a while. Until I got an Achilles. :D

Building coils is no biggie, just wrap some wire around something, a screwdriver, a drillbit, whatever. Wicking *correctly* has a bit more of a learning curve, and the only way to learn it is to do it, vape it, see how it does. After a while, you just *know* the right amount for whatever diameter coil you're using.

It's in the same "family" -- the hue -- and just needs something to tie it together.

It looks to me like the 510 connector is tying them together nicely....

I can tootle on anything. It's just that a 60W mod is kind of a violation of the spirit of tootle puffing.

There's no shame in driving your Corvette at 25mph when in a school zone.
