30+ days of being a Total Vaper!

After 20 years of smoking, my significant other quit smoking on Day 1 of vaping. After 20 years of smoking, it took me a full year of dual use until I recently quit the smokes. I had a difficult time giving up the chain smoking during my morning and afternoon coffee. That was my Achilles heel. Luckily, I started to DIY and made some juices that pair well with coffee. I decided on a date, bit the bullet, and behaved my way into a new routine. Proud of myself for finally pushing through it!

Total vaper...

But I'm thinking this will be a biased survey on this website.
What makes it biased?

I mean without knowing how its going to be used, the only way to come to that conclusion is bias.

;)

Nobody (classy especially) has stated that ECF = IRL.

I smoked cigarettes for 60 years. An Xray found a spot on my lung. On the way home from the Doc's office following the Xray I threw the 1/2 pack out the window and never considered smoking again. That was 5 months ago. After an operation to remove the upper lobe of my right lung which proved to be cancerous and I'm still not using tobacco.
During the operation the surgeon also removed over 30 lymph nodes all of which were negative for cancer.
Its been 6 weeks since the operation, the shooting pain in my chest and back have subsided and I'm getting my breath back. The Oncologist does not want to see me for 4 months and then just for a followup CAT scan. He seems to think they got it all.

vaping is a crutch at best but it keeps my old habits from returning. In my 5 months of vaping only I'm getting better at it. I get more juice in the tank than I spill, I keep my batteries charged, I do not buy batteries from China or anything I can find elsewhere for a vape shop.

Total Vaper from Day One, Aug 10, 2011, when I got my first GoGo kit in the mail (Kanger's first take on the eGo).

After 30 years smoking almost 2 PAD, I had no expectations or plans of quitting, and was just curious about this new-fangled gizmo. I took to it right away, and gave the rest of my carton o' smokes to my roommates, who continued to smoke for several months before they gave vaping a try and quit smoking too.

Such an awesome gift vaping is, and whether a dual or total user, you have made a difference in your lives!

Right behind you, Robin, 4 years next Tuesday.
Total vaper. Took me a week to get the right nic level for me, and it was goodbye combustible!
Congratulations you two ... great job
He said that for forty years when a stressful situation happened that I would smoke a cigarette and I was falling back on old habits.Dave
I can sure associate with that statement from your doctor.
I think the ONLY reason that vaping worked for me, was that "hand to mouth" habit.
I used cigs when stressed, and when I just needed to take a mental "break".
Vaping fulfilled that part of the "old habit" for me.
Hang in there spada and up the nic some more if needed.
I wish the best for your wife and you at this time.

Total vaper since Oct 21 2013, Then June 15 of this year my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 adeno carcinoma lung cancer. First thing I did when I got home from the doctors office was to buy cigarettes.I don't know why so I asked my doctor .He said that for forty years when a stressful situation happened that I would smoke a cigarette and I was falling back on old habits.I only smoke a couple of puffs and then feel disgusted with myself. I have increased my nicotine from 1.5 back to 3 and started building sub ohm coils. I think this is helping. It is a struggle being a caregiver but I am determined to stop the few cigs I am using. Never say never. Thanks ,Dave
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

I'm coming up on 3 years this Friday, but it did take a couple of weeks of dual use to completely quit smoking. It was really hard to drop the 1st cigarette in the morning and the ones right after meals. I finally managed to quit completely with a little bit of extra help from North Dakota winter weather. It made it really hard to justify shoveling out and driving to town just because of the last 3 a day.

(I really did start on October 7. The 10/10 date was to make a British signature work with the month and day swapped around.:D)
