if the juice is thicker and not wicking as well this can cause a dry taste...

The passthrough acts like a fully charged battery with each puff... so it would run a tad hotter then lets say an alost dead 78mm batt... but should not causing a dry taste unless the juice is not wicking right.

Dear SI, I am using what I believe is called a battery pass through (a battery directly connected to a USB pluged into my computer). It make my cartos feel a lot hotter and the vapor a lot warmer too. Does that have to do with a different amount of ohms and voltage or am I doing something wrong. I refilled it with ec blend juices and a vodka primer, so I don't know if that makes a difference either.

There was no problem with the taste, I don't think ec blends flavor is as strong as yours, but not dry or anything. I appreciate the vodka advise, cleaning cartos is a lot more simple than I thought.

ok well it should not be running much hotter then a regular battery..just as I said that it is always like a freshly charged batt...

Also to note there is no cutoff on the passthrough (where the regular batt has a 7 sec cuttoff) so you may be just taking much longer draws which would definitely heat up the carto and burn through much more liquid.

Imagine, any chance of SI getting the new VIVI NOVA? It would be nice to have it in an 808 thread. I know you guys want to keep things simple, and you cant get much simpler for filling. Maybe Vision could just package it with 2.8ohm heads for you instead of the 3 different ones since you like to keep everything the same.

I am not sure all the ones we have tested are hit or miss... they have not be performing to our standards.

we are working with the factory on a few ideas... these clearos are new technology and we want to make sure everyone is getting a quality product for the money...

Help? I notice that in the battery color selection list, there is a gold and a copper. Do they both have the rubberized finish? The website only has one picture in that color range, but I don't know which it is. Please, please will you post a pic of them both (labeled?)?

CatLady - I have the gold, and it is not a rubberized finish. It is a slick finish, like the chrome. I can't post a pic because I covered it with the gold glitter skin. Dunno about the bronze. Probably not much help....

What Rave said. The "gold" is a plain metallic finish, like the silver. I see it more as "brass." The copper is a rubberized finish, and to me, looks more like an antique gold. This copper color is the one you see on the website on the "Easy Battery Select" page under Accessories. I covered the "gold" metallic battery with my leopard battery wrap (color matched nicely), and I covered my silver/chrome metallic battery with a flag battery wrap. The regular batteries are too slick for me to hang onto with just the silver or gold metallic finishes.

Hmm, maybe they should add "Chrome" to Gold and Silver (Gold Chrome, Silver Chrome). I didn't even know the Gold Chrome actually made it out. I thought it was just a yellower version of the rubberized copper. See what you miss when you're broke?
