That's exactly what I've been wondering! Never thot in terms of once a day equaling nearly a year!

Back to your reply to the leak problem: I'm getting this drop on anywhere from just one inhalation to wiping it after a second or 3rd inhalation. I continue to inhale til the light goes out after releasing my finger from the button. As a rule I don't have it "hanging from my mouth" - occassionally but more apt to be w/ the 78 auto's. Today for example it did this until it was approx. half empty. Then it quit.

Next Question! I ordered those rubber drip tips. How long does it take to NOT have that rubber taste when vaping? :D
I like that rubber tip but noticed after a few vapes (3-4?) I start getting that rubber taste in the vape! Does anyone else get that? Sheesh - If other's don't notice I'm ok with that. My mom threatens to put a clothes pin on my nose so I wouldn't be surprised if you say that about my taste buds - when allergy season runs rampant - any petro based scent 'burns' my sinuses. ENT once told me continuing to smoke tar-bacco is like running a blow torch up mah snoze!
Just curious ... Linda

Don't fill your clearos as much. This is the case with any top coil wick system, not just the smokeless image ones. The problem is that the full line is right below the ceramic wick cup, if you tilt it just a little, the juice pours into the cup by the wicks and runs down the air tube to the battery. You will notice a big difference if you only fill to the 1.4ml line. It also happens on my vivi nova. Even though they say 3.5ml, if you fill past the 2.8-3.0 line, it leaks.

I am not a fan of the rubber tips because I don't like the feel. But when I was using them, I boiled them for a couple of minutes. Soaking them in vodka also works.

I still have a brand new pack I never opened and never will

Hi sorry we are still playing a little catch up from last weeks issue put us a little behind :(
Dear Imagine,
What is the turn around time now on orders? I ordered yesterday early and it's still processing. I waited to order until SI got their tracking issues solved. This is the first time since I started with them my order hasn't shipped either same day or next. Filled out a contact CS thing with the order number on it but haven't heard back.

I've never had a clearo leak and I use them daily. That said, I don't carry them in my pocket, just keep them on an X2 either in my mouth, phone pouch or ash tray in the car (both the pouch and ash try keep them clearo end up and yes, my car has an ash tray....it's like me, a little older LOL). A CE3 would be a better choice to carry in a pocket especially with a boot over the tip just to be safe in case of a leak and to keep the pocket lint out.

Noob here trying to learn, awsum what do you mean by a boot?

A boot is also referred to as a condom. It's the formed silicon covering over both ends of a cartomizer. The ones used by Smokeless Image have a plug insert in one of the boots, the boot that covers the battery end of the cartomizer. They are great at keeping pocket lint out of the works for cartomizers, clearomizers or CE3s and can minimize any leaks in the case of a CE3 or clearomizer. In the case of a clearomizer a boot can only be placed over the mouthpiece end since the battery end is flared to go an an X2 series battery.

Thanks that's what I thought you were talking about.

Thanks OUTLAW! that's pretty much what I've been doing. I was curious after AWESUM said he's never had a leak.

My current (long wick) is still doing it at 1.2 ml ... I tweaked the juice a little bit which brought it up from below that mark.
The angle at which I'm holding it - it's still below that cup where the wick goes ...

I'm not giving up yet! I like them to try out new flavors. I think I'm liking the longer (forget the mm number) blank carto's - especially for the autos. I got a cone with this last order - I think I'm liking that on the X2 with those carto's as well.

I will give the tips a soak - thanks also for that tip! Have a great day everyone! :D

I guess I'm lucky with no leaks from clearos. I do fill them, not quite full say the 1.4ml mark or a little more. I think my big advantage is that I usually keep them battery end down which naturally keeps the liquid away from the wick cup as MrOutlaw mentioned. I do leave them lying around, even when frshly filled, and haven't noticed any real problem at all. Again, just lucky I guess.

When I said "charger" I did mean the asic inside the battery case. In terms of cycles, is that full discharge/charge or partial discharge/charge? Either way 300 cycles isn't all that short given that, with more than one or two batteries on hand, they don't get charged more than once a day which yields, basically, a life span of a year.

Hmm, maybe I vape more than normal. I have 3 65s I rotate and at least 2 of them get recharged everyday if not all 3. I guess I go through 4-6 full charges a day. I have the wall adapter and pcc going all the time it seems like, especially with SI juice that I like and with the CE3s, I'm vaping more than ever. May be time to look at X2s. Excepting donations. :p

Hello Imagine,

I know you are going to be switching over your juice selection in the fall. Will you be keeping the two menthol flavors (or something close)? I hope so, I really like both of them.

Also, will you be getting anymore of the higher nic levels of them before the switch over (24 & 18mg)?

Thanks!

Oh and is the picture freebie thing still active?

I have to admit that my comments were based on 78mm batteries. The 65's don't have as much capacity, by roughly 50%, so they would need more frequent charging. The X2s are nice and last a long time but are too big for safe, hands free use...I dropped one today while mowing and had to stop, get off and pick it up. The hazards of hands free with an automatic X2.

Hi Everyone! I'm excited - I received my SI order a few days ago! Today I received some juice from (shhhh whispered ) the other guy. So, from what I've read so far - sounds like people really like the CE3's. I'm thinking of order a few since they work well with the 78's and the X2's. How big a pain is it to use a needle to fill them?

I have colored tips (earlier post) to keep track of flavors - so that's why I'm leaning toward them. Just wanted to double check. All these other nicquids are 50/50 pg/vg - I don't want to mess up the newer cartos if that's too thick for 'em to work well. Boy have I been lookin forward to tryin' new stuff! Even adjusting the menthol hasn't helped much in being able to taste the flavors I've been using! Their all too close!

On another post I noticed their green X2 was a different shade than mine - as in looks better with the dk green clearo!
LOL - I think mine looks a little off! I think I liked the old style where just the tank was colored!

ETA: Oh great! The cap tip looks yellow in the pic! My batter is actually more "Blue-Green" the cap is med/light Olive! That difference didn't show up when I first looked at the pic on my screen! Oh - that's my new cone on the battery with a XL blank carto!!! Love that!

They're pretty easy to fill, using a syringe isn't all that hard at all. Just keep it vertical with the battery end up like the instruction card shows. It's probably a good idea to "clean them out" before first use to get the "primer" out. There is a video in the SI Videos sticky that shows how to do everything, so if you have a few minutes take a look, it's worthwhile.

My 78 I just received lasted my 30 min drive in 30 min home of continued vaping. Also got another 30 mins at home. A hour and a half isn't bad at all.
It is for me still a little awkward for hands free use but much better than a 650x2.
