Imeo in order to enjoy a genesis you have to have someone who knows about genesis to set it up for you and show you what to do to set it up properly. I was exactly the same, I gave up on genesis and Rick (rwechsler) and Dave (dspin) were trying to convince me not to sell it. Eventually I got together with Rick for coffee and he set it up for me and showed me how to tweak the coil so it glows evenly with no hot spots and how to position the air hole over the coil. Genesis has a huge learning curve and is certainly not for the novice

I am too not a genesis at all river. The other day I bought a genesis atomizer. After 10 tries and no result I stop trying. At first tries the negative wire was always cut. In the next tries I had shorts. At the last tries I had burn taste. And every time I was oxidising again the wick and again oxidised and again and again.
I am sure that others have more success but I just dont like complex things.

Maybe if you start with a thicker wire you will have better results Imeo ... Try 30awg or 28awg.. See how it goes.

or maybe empty liquid back to bottle River?
Well it's also a very good point. I know you have to measure cost effectiveness when developing a product so if it is not a common issue then it would not make sense to implement in the design.

I have an easy solution. I will just keep a small lunchbox cooler in my vehicle to store my GGs when I leave them. This should help.

I saw some videos before try to make a coil Steve. Its just not for me for sure. Even the oxidation prossess is something that I dont really like, and I dont like the fact that it needs time to be prepared and you need tools to do it, like gas, screwdrivers etc. Of course I dont like leakage at all and burning issues too. What I want is to be able to make a coil in 1-2 mins only using my hands and it has to be reliable from the first coil. I dont say that they dont vape well. I am sure they vape as all atomizers. I just dont like the hassle and the rest of the issues after making the coil. Its an all day hassle to my eyes if I am not able to leave it on side or in my pocket

i will try it aron but if I am not able to use any wire and I have to stuck to fat wires, thats something that i dont like too. I want all options in one device:)

Yeah I used a Genesis Line v2 for about 8 or 9 months. It worked fairly well a good portion of the time but the rest of the time was spent fiddling with the coil, oxidizing the mesh, wrapping cotton around the mesh (when I was too fed up with shorts), recoiling, etc.. it's way too finicky for me.. I don't think I'll ever go back, I'm very satisfied with my Ody now.. it's quite reliable and just works!

No ..I meant so you can practice better ...thicker wire forgives a bit more " hotspots wise" with genesis attys you can use any wires ...the important think is to oxy well ur mesh and make a nice even coil ..then sort the hotspots " if any" .... I'm sure u will fine a way to make them !

Ah, ok thanks again Aron. I will try it to see what happens. But fatter wires doesnt produce the hit and vapor that I like.

Thanks a lot soma.:)
And were you able to vape with a 0,25 wire? You need a resistanse at 0,8 ohm, so battery will end too soon! We are looking for ways to improve battery's life, not to reduce it!
Imeo, you make things like noone before, I'm sure you will succeed this too. To be honest, I never had succes with 0,16 or 0,20 mm wire on my gennys, so I'm only doing it with 0,25 or thicker. This is the only way I can make a decent coil : D !

28 gauge kanthal sucks the living daylights out of batteries. I've seen my AW IMR 18650's which last a good half day of chain vaping on the Ody with 32 gauge nichrome go to 3.6v in 2 hours on 28 gauge kanthal in a genesis.

For a STELLER Vape u need to sacrifice something cap ;) ...

Anytime Imeo, truth is truth!

I got what are you saying and you're right of course!

I meant;

If I want better battery life, I'm using 0,25mm(awg 30 I belive) at 4/3 wraps and metering about 1,3 ohms
If I don't care about battery life, I'm using thicker wires but only at home(when I have much freshly charged batts)
