Finally figured out a coil/wick that's working great!
Not so much, yesterday: Had 28g, 2.5mm, 1.5Ω in both the plus and the regular. Was getting dry hits (followed by the telltale long death fizz) on the plus, and was not seeing air bubbles. The regular V3 had muted flavor, but no dry hits.
Today I put new 28g, 2mm 1.5-1.6 Ω
coils in both. When removing the old wicks I noticed that there was a lot more wick in the wells than I thought, even though I thought I had just inserted enough to touch bottom, But cotton does expand. Today I cut the wick ends shorter, frizzed them out with a hat pin, and very gingerly inserted just enough to touch bottom, and not at all stuffed or crammed.
The result? Both
tanks are producing beautiful, full-bodied flavor, no dry hits and regular air bubbles! I'm a slow learner, but after a lot of "What if I try this" and "What if I try that" I believe I've finally found the build and wicking method that works great for me!
