Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

I have 5 in rotation and a new Tobeco in a box. I retired the one from FT and will probably retire the FC one. The 4 Tobecos in rotation work perfectly. I tried 2 different Erlk's and could not get it to work right, especially after a refill. I've rebuilt and re-wicked at least 50 times with rayon and organic cotton. If I didn't have syringes with blunt needles, I would've wasted over 200ml of juice. Other than a Lemo 2 that I tried out and liked, I've stuck with my KF4's. No interest in trying anything new since I like to just build a simple single coil and vape.
Yup. It's heavy. Are you using it with the PC tank? That's my favorite configuration. Fewer parts and lighter weight. And no bulge.
Also, I believe they make acrylic bell caps for K4, but I'm not sure where to find them.

I'll be switching to the PC tank as soon as I empty this tankful. I wanted to see how I liked the bulged look with the glass.
I have that bell cap, purchased for a KFL. It doesn't have enough capacity for my liking. I can't see how that sucker would fit on a K4.
I've never used them, but I don't think that the KFL bell would work on K4. Fasttech carries tons of them, but you would have to read the descriptions carefully. For instance they say that this one would fit, but I really have no clue...

Ok... Still trying the 28g Kanthal with Rayon on both and so far no leaks. I wrapped a 7/64 drill bit 5/6 timesevenly spaced. I guess that with thicker wire I need to raise the watts some??? What do you think...
I stuck the Rayon in the coils with some restriction and just laid the tails down the wick channels without trimming them down. I hear that most people trim them down first but I use 100% PG and thought it might flood/leak if I thinned them out. So far so good...
You know what they say--start low and keep increasing your wattage until you like the vape... But don't overdo it--Erls have a rather tight draw so be careful not to overheat the coil.

I like the bulge so I use the glass center section because it's unique in a sea of cylindrical atomizers. I thought I'd break one or two so I ordered a 10pk and haven't broken any
. The best I got was one tank that vaped great and then leaked like a sieve after a fill up.I've got two Erlk minis from FT; never got them to work properly...
Especially on the 2nd tank.

First use of each erl I filled only 1/4 of a tank. Just to be sure no leaks. I filled both now and got both at 1ohm and the flavor is getting better. Firing them at 14 watts. I need to play around with different ohms and see what will work best.

Where are your clones from? Which ones did you get, if you don't mind my asking. There are so many of them out there.
I read about all these clones working correctly and it makes me wonder what I could have possibly done wrong. I replaced every oring in mine and three of them still gurgle.
It's not you. I've expended more time and energy trying to get my Tobeco to work than I care to admit. Finally tossed it, not even worth saving...
I got the good ones from here, Erlkonigin Style RBA Stainless Steel E - Cigarette Dripping Atomizer. The first 2 I got were from Focalecig and they were defective and could not work at all.
The Tobeco ones are the best clones made. You might have gotten a bad one. I have 3 that have worked perfectly for about a year so far.
