Just received my tobeco black. It seems they make changes to add flat on the top part as well as add enough clearance on JC which makes the JC pretty smooth. Will build it sometime later.

The flats were always on Tobeco's. It's the Ehpro's that don't have them. I'm sure they'll fix that soon enough.

I should be getting my black Tobeco in a couple of days. Most likely Monday because my local PO sucks.

I have a kayfun V4 By Easter thats having problems-

--flooded like crazy and JC was extremely hard to turn---that has sort of fixed itself but now it is a little wobbly at the JC ring section--

and basically i can vape with the JC closed all the way--when it gets dry i open the JC and then the airflow increases greatly--

i close it and can vape away for quite awhile until dry again--also i can't seem to take the whole bottom section apart--the part with JC ring and below.

any ideas?

I have another clone from FT that works flawlessly

It appears that USPS has lost my order. They SUCK!!! Its been at a post office just 50 miles from my house now for more than 2 days. Calling them is a joke. They have no answers for me other than to wait.

I've had that happen before too. Package was "lost" and when I called they said the same thing...wait. Then mysteriously package reappears and tracking resumes shortly after. Seems that it does help but that they dont like to admit they lost anything and hence their canned reply.

normally have to change the position of the deck to get at that section. I drop the deck, then unscrew. Seems to always work for me.

seems weird that it's wobbly. are you missing an o-ring?

post a pic

well i take the deck out... then i cant do any thing to that last bottom section. a picture cant show the wobblyness--there is some play between the bottom section and the JC ring......my friend also has on with the same issue. why would airflow increase when I loosen JC? O-ring issue??

when you take the deck off, you're referring to the chimney section as being the next part right? the part with the SM logo?

air flow might increase because you deck is somehow restricting the airflow screw

yes the deck includes the chimney where the wick goes--the problem seems to be in the base part below the deck

ohms are jumping all over the place also--i just noticed that 1.8 to 2.5

had a szeaster clone and it was garbage ...didn't wick at all ....looked like they forgot to machine the juice paths under the deck ....got the infinite clone and its great so far

so you're probably is removing the tank section then?

if your resistance is jumping, it's your spring that's the culprit

I'm trying to decide about cleaning and keeping this kayfun v4 I got from code vape today.

Does anybody know how the kayfun v4s with red o-rings are? I don't know how many different ones come with the red o-rings or who made this one, code vape claims a-mod, but I don't think so.
It came with the glass tank installed, and has what looked to be brass colored springs if that helps.

I already have it packaged back up for return, but the vendor hasn't gotten back to me yet with a RMA, or return instructions.

I received mine from CodeVape and it is the red o-ring version. Initially I had a ohm irregularities with it, when I took it all apart for inspection part #9 and 10 were flip flopped. I put it all back together ohms were stable. Have been using it for about 2 weeks everyday and have yet to leak a drop. Have a 1.2 ohm coil in it and its heaven. Never changed any O-rings or any modification and it seems virtually flawless. I would order another but really want a black one for a 2nd. Hope this helps, had to quit lurking and create an account to give you my opinion. I am not saying you might not have a lemon but after a lot of use I am happy with my CodeVape clone even if we don't really know who made it! Lol

Make sure that the air flow screw is screwed in enough. I have seen a number of these come with the screw sticking out too far and causing issues.
