KTMRider, you're making the wait for me to get out of work SO much harder. I'm so excited that the Tobeco works perfectly!

How much did you have to clean it and how bad was the machine oil on it? While the Tobeco is washing I might take the FT apart to try and fix the wobble. I'm probably going to sell the FT soon if the Tobeco is as good as you say.

Any word on the hcigar clone in the US yet, have been patiently waiting. Don't want to spend 50+ getting it overseas only to have it release here by the time I get it. My buddy in the UK got one already since he is friends with an importer and he has been saying that it is absolutely perfect, just as well machined as the original.

My local shop just got in its second batch of EHpros so I may go check them out next week and see if they still have/have fixed any issues like the top nut. If I'm gonna be buying a "premium" clone id much rather get the 316SS logoless hcigar though.

Has anyone tried the Haopod KF v4? They are advertising it as 316L stainless as opposed to 304. They also have the nicest looking black one.

Newest Kayfun V4.0 Clone Electronic Cigarette Hot Sell Vaporizer Kayfun V4.0 - Buy Vaporizer Kayfun V4.0,Vaporizer Kayfun V4.0,Vaporizer Kayfun V4.0 Product on Alibaba.com

Oceansidevapes appears to be selling them on eBay, however when I contacted them they claimed it's made locally in California so I'm hesitant.

Id much rather get a 316ss clone than 304.

A couple of thoughts...

There are a few Chinese companies that claim to use 316ss but isn't actually 316ss but 304ss.

In our application, you're splitting hairs between 304ss vs 316ss. It won't make a difference.

I'm jealous. My 2 along with my Cloupor mini 30, just left the sort facility here in Montana. Means I get them tomorrow. I was hoping for today since I work tomorrow. Oh well, at least it looks like these from custom mod are going to be good, even though we got the song and dance about shipping.

Are you using the spring? with the Ni200 or a spacer? I ordered another FT A version, after all it's working perfectly for me and all the spares are a nice bonus.
I wanted a Tobeco but Ebay shipping to Canada is way to much. With shipping and import fees it doubles in price :(

I'm using the spring. It was working great for the first few hit and then I started hitting TP a lot so I thought I had a short in the coil so I took it apart and it seems my wicks were too short. Rewicked and now it's vaping great. No issues with resistance variation at all. I let it sit for about 10 mins to do its refinement thing and it sits at .17Ω now.

Same here. After cursory inspection, (will break down a clean tonight) it seems very well made. I have been happy with the Type A (could use stiffer draw) but this one looks even better. I look forward to setting it up.

ricks I'm sure yours will turn up tomorrow...

The FT "A" air screw threads are a bit crunchy. Turning it in had some resistance at first but now it works on mine. When it's screwed all the way in, there is no air flow.

:p

The main issue of the FT "A" was the #16 o-ring. My Tobeco version fits perfect and is very smooth when adjusting the JC. No leaks yet, not even a slurpy draw (typical symptom of a bad o-ring before it starts to leak out of the air holes and ring).

I added a drop of dish washing liquid in a cup with all the parts and added hot tap water. Let it sit for a few mins, stirring it around a bit and then rinse it off with hot tap water.

I am so impressed with this version I just ordered another one in silver from eBay ($19.95 shipped!)

I make up the shim by using a fin (about 0.27mm thick) from copper CPU heatsink. Now I can tighten the #9 completely and the JC ring still turns butter smooth on the robottech clone.

Awesome! If I feel the same way, looks like the FT version will be up for sale soon. I notice on the eBay listing that the Tobeco comes with a frosted plastic tank. Is that how yours is? I do like the clear tank that the FT version came with, although it doesn't really matter because I'll be putting the IBT tank on the Tobeco.

Yes, it comes with a frosted full tank. The only reason I use it on my FT version is because the glass was broken and I wanted to see what was in the tank while using kanthal. I ordered some spare glass middle sections as well as a replacement FT is sending. You could order the clear tanks too.

Sweet, the Tobeco from Artemus is out for delivery today. Can't wait to go home and compare it to my FT clone. I'll also need to take the FT clone apart to see why it's wobbling with the juice control closed. Probably that #9 screw.
Mine got to town at 7am and says "sorting complete" but I don't know if that means its out for delivery (even though the PO is literally down the street).. Luckily I'm vaping the one from eBay right now he he..

I'm gonna have to tear down my deck/juice control tonight. Mine wobbles like crazy when its closed so I must've screwed something up messing with airflow and 510.. It didn't do it when I first started using it..

Over in the thread for the authentic K4, using my authentic K4 before I sold it, I took voltage readings off the screw heads that hold the coil with the spring in and with the spring replaced with a sleeve and posted them. I'm too lazy to go hunt it up but the difference amazed me, for lack of better words.

Thanks for the reply :) I'm so tempted to get the Tobeco. My FT A version, I will admit the threads could be better, but mine has no leaking problem at all! I have run at least a dozen tanks thru it. I really can't believe how good it works :) Now my question is does the Tobeco vape any better than the FT A ?

I saw that. I haven't put a DMM on mine but it's been a stable vape and varies from .16Ω - .17Ω when I move the JC.

Has anyone torn apart a ehpro v4 I'm disassembling mine to soak to remove machine oil and can't seem to get parts 3 and 8 separated. Any help would be appreciated just can't get them apart I must be missing something holding them together. Thanks in advance

Take the 510 screw (1) out from the bottom. Then push out the nut and bushing that it screws into (10,11). Unscrew (9) and it should come apart.

If your saying that you have screw #9 removed and it still doesn't come apart it's because the square protrusion of #8 is stuck in the square hole of #3.,it will separate it's just tight. If this is the case file or sand the sides of the square protrusion of # 8 a tiny bit before reassembling so you can put it back together and take it apart easier next time. Might just need to touch up the bottom edges of the square protrusion of #8.

Get one. Seriously that much better than the FT "A" version. I had an issue with the (16) o-ring so I bought some thicker ones. Turns out they were too thick so I sanded them down to fit so no more leaking. The bottom has a lot of play but fine when JC is wide open or closed. Threads are sloppy. My lower tank segment (28) was stuck on the evap chamber (26) so I had to use pliers to separate them and it left some marks on (26) and bent the edge on (28) so I had to order another one (ordered both, actually). There was some flash in the air screw hole I had to clean to get the air screw to work. Once all those issues were worked out, it vaped great. I actually used it 99% of the time since I got it over a week ago.

The Tobeco vapes just like the FT but blows it away in fit and finish. I had to do nothing to the Tobeco version to work. Nothing. I cleaned it, put a ni200 build on it and it just worked. Threading seems much better as there's very little play in all the parts while going together and while it's together. Tobeco's are all over the place now and cheap. I don't know if it's just the one I got but I ordered another one off eBay. I also have one coming from FC.
