When I took the pic that I posted a few posts back I ended up dumping all it's juice accidentally, I just now filled it with some really thick stuff, I'll see how that goes and report back.

You should be fine. I running high VG (80/20) in my Tobeco and it's vaping great.

My results, works pretty good. But without a doubt the viscosity of the liquid plays a big role in wicking.

Oh, on a Tobeco.....now can I have some Stagno's bread

I am, too. No problems at all.

I'm using OC and it's wicking great!

Yep.

Yep. Well Japanese OC, but its wicking great.

I'll solve this mystery eventually... Next I'll measure the juice channels, somehow..? I know they're clear at least. And try yet another build/wick replace.

Also Japanese cotton here.

Oh and just confirming that my ehpro version leaks annoyingly out the air holes every fill... And I am closing juice flow tightly and replaced the o-ring per this thread. Weird because the Tobeco stays dry as a bone on refills.

Another thing for those few having wicking issues that I don't see anyone saying

If your vape is to light (soft) or too short you will not pull juice down into the juice holes. I have seen my share of vapers that take a very light short vape. You are going to have issues with this and many other rta's if you vape like that

Valid point. I'm a mouth to lung hitter, but two pulls every time and as much as my mouth can get on each pull. And air flow is pretty restricted which should help on that front? It also won't wick with strong primer puffs in there as well.
@ stanley ^^^ I may have missed it, do you have two clones not vaping right?
Correct. One ehpro not wicking AND leaking on fills. And one Tobeco not wicking.

But it seems the 6 drops of water I added to this tank "may" be helping. I'll report back after some more time, but this might be it! May have just been my juice...! Namber juice doughnut pounder.

But I also have a mixture of 75% Five Pawns Castle LONG (I think this is like a 50/50?),and 25% Cov4 Clouds of Vapor claimed full VG in my tobeco with wicking issues as well. I'll try the water drop test tomorrow with it and see if it helps.

So in the interest of a good test I made up a bottle of juice high in PG (70/30), the one above was 30/70 (PG is always first) with the same percentages of flavor.
The result was the flavor of the thin juice was about twice as strong as the thick juice, exactly as I expected but thought I'd do up some so I could say that I did it.
I started DIY'n my juice about a week after I started vaping near 3 years ago so I'm pretty conscience about the strength of the flavor.

This is not to say juice made with high PG tastes better than juice made with high VG but to say juice taste "strongest" when proper wicking is established.

My wicks are thoroughly on the deck and then some. 22mm end to end

Same :/ I don't think the whole "wick barely touches the deck is necessarily true. I've a decent amount plopped on the deck and it wicks fine up to 30watts

Sorry Kiwi but I would have to disagree that it absolutely is true and absolutely works. Just curious did you drive to Chicago and stop by the house and check out my builds?

Making that statement is somewhat unique, are you saying that I am giving a member looking for help BS information? Based on?

Sorry that I shared my experiences and how 4 of my K4's are working perfectly and ruffled the feather of the group that is all knowing.

Whoa. I think you took that way too personal.

I'm simply saying that the wick doesnt necessarily HAVE to be just barely touching the deck IN ORDER for the kayfun 4 to wick well.

Just as you've had success with doing it that way, I've had success doing it the other way with my wick well all over my deck. I was not saying you lied. I was not saying your method doesn't work. I'm merely saying it's not true that it HAS to be just barely touching the deck.

You might wanna grab a drink or two. Either that or cut down.

Kiwi,

Just giving the member options so he can enjoy his K4. But maybe you should read your posts before you hit submit.

I never said anything about absolutes I expressed what has been working well for me, you turned it into absolutes. You questioned the posts content and whether or not it was true. Your right I take exception to you even alluding to me BS'ing when I was trying to help someone and just conveyed what is working on my atty's.

I never stated it was the only way, or had to be, I offered up other options that work for me. Sorry I didn't mean to post my thoughts in someone else's thread.

Done!
