How do these K4 clones compare to higher quality genesis style tanks? Like a kracken or origin?

Have a couple rsst's..... 'beginner' gennies, where the k4 flavor & vape is very comparable. But been reading some very good things about flavor & vape on the more advanced gennies.

Love my k4s, and if I posted this question in the gennie part of the forum .... Know exactly what the answer would be. But also aware many users in this thread also vape gennies ..... Perhaps offering a truer comparison.

Btw, know about genny weaknesses like leaking & tilting .... More interested in the quality of vape comparison. TIA.

Sweet, thanks! Should I be looking for a specific version of the Kayfun 4 Tobeco clone?
Don't think there's a different version... Except color, I have both black & ss. both colors are comparable machining. Orings on all these clones seem to be a crap shoot, 1 of my 3 needed immediate oring replacement (#16 is the usual culprit).

Thanks again, I will post my thoughts once I get mine and do some builds.

Now I want to find a Erlk nano clone - I had the full sized clone and got it vaping but hated the size. If anyone has a link to one other than FastTech please let me know.

Right behind you...
My Tobeco v4 with 4S kit came in today. Barely, and I mean just barely, tolerable airflow for me with the 4S tube installed. Totally a non-starter for me with the stock airflow. No way I would have paid $200 for this, or if I had, I'd be grumbling a lot, as it's pretty much unsuited to my style of vaping.

Exterior quality looked good.

The thing was drenched in machine oil (still getting a slight taste after much soaking and scrubbing and soaking and rinsing).

Worst thing is that #28 has craptastic crunchy threads, it's so bad I'm running it with the PMMA tank, something I thought I'd never use.

Also spent several minutes getting #26 unscrewed, and of course, the juice control ring was ultra-tight, but also very wobbly when closed. #38 is machined poorly as well, the supplied drip tip even lubricated needs to be tapped down into place, and it won't accept any of my other drip tips, it's too small.

Good news is, it doesn't leak, and I've got a working Ni200 build in it.

All in all, less than happy with the quality of this Tobeco, but not too upset considering I've only got $25 invested (ok, $27, I have a spares kit on the way from Fasttech).

If I used cotton more, I'd get one of these. Saw a video with one and they make some nice tight coils. View attachment 416421
Ricks, They're too cheap on Fasttech to not order one. Next time I put together a general junk order (you know what I'm talking about) I'm going to get one. Normally order a bunch of small but interesting stuff every couple of months. Heck you can get a whole bag of "vape trinkets" for around $25 or $30.

Sent while sitting on my busted ..... Stay off the ice if you can't skate. I can't and didn't.

Good luck. I have had a Fasttech order that was shipped February 4th and through sort facility in China on February 7th, still show no progress from there. A second one placed about the same time just hit Chicago. And I paid extra for faster shipping. 7 to 10 days shipping. Yeah, right.

Me too, mine has been sitting since the 9th.

I might just make one. Looks simple enough and I should have everything I need in my garage and basement full of junk.

Hi,
I gave my Fasttech revision A a rebuild tonight. Went ahead and replaced o-ring 16 while I had it apart. Decided to check the tightness of 9, sure enough I was able to tighten it a quarter of a turn. I then took it all the way out to inspect it. I could not see much with my old eyes so when I installed it back it only screwed in about 3 quarters of a turn, certainly less than a full turn. Does this this seem right to you guys with more experience? I was expecting several turns.

Thanks

Make sure #9 is going in straight. I always have trouble getting it to stay flat while I'm tightening it..

I have one to be shipped and one that should have been shipped but hasn't. From China but not FT.
My problem is more local, right here, I have better than 25 tank atties that haven't been used in I don't know how long that are juiced. I have 10 cleaned up tonight.
At least nothing rusted or the like. Probably a dozen or so drippers to do also but that's a bit easier.

Just a small part of them here:
