All VG works in this? thats all I use, I want a V4(Or something like it) because I am tired of leaks/gurgling/dry hits, I do mouth hits, not lung, hell I barely inhale at all, the subtank did not do it for me when I tested a friends....to much air.

To tired to read through the whole thread, is the kayfun V4 by Tobeco at VapeNW the best clone? I was gonna grab that, a istick30, and this Ohm Reader Meter RBA RDA Prebuilt A1 Kanthal Micro Coils Organic Cotton | eBay not sure if thats good though? I am starting out, hate my smoktech aro 2 and protank 2, just wanna try building now.

So far all I used is max VG but others assured me it can use max PG with no problems. Today I redid the coil because I was reading that a smaller coil can give dry hits. With the new coil, some rayon and a brand new bottle of mothers milk, it is performing flawlessly. I took a plastic artist brush, did 10 wraps of 26 kanthal on it and fired it up on my Istick, pinched it and wicked it and away I went. Came out at 1.7 ohms and vaping at 10.5 watts.

Organic cotton is fine :) Some like rayon I for one care less for it.
P Bersardo proved that organic cotton wicks as good or better than any thing out there :)
The sheets make it simple to get the right amount of wicking material every time with cotton balls or rayon it's a guessing game.

Isn't cotton ok here though? I just ordered some japanese organic cotton....

I probably should have asked but from what I read it soaks in stuff better then silica...

Oh good, thought I might have made a mistake, is this alright to? Amazon.com: Kanthal 28 AWG Gauge A1 Wire 100' Roll .32mm , 5.27 Ohms/ft Resistance: Everything Else

Seems cheap enough.

I got this: http://www.amazon.com/Cotton-Labo-O...33&sr=1-1&keywords=Cotton+Labo+ORGANIC+Cotton

I had to see what Hillary Clinton had to say about the V4. Pleasantly pleased that you admitted to occasionally inhaling.

He proved cotton likes to absorb liquids. What he didn't realize is that cotton is also a kind of greedy little thing that doesn't want to give liquid back. When you use it in your atty, what really happens is that the cotton soaks up the liquid and only the excess is released to the coil.
When you finish a tank and check on the cotton, it's still all bloated up.

Rayon however relies on capillary action. It's much like "easy come, easy go". The more liquid you pull from one side, the more liquid it pulls from the other.

Rayon is cheaper, lasts 10x more (my last wick had 272ml of juice flow through it) and is way more efficient at delivering liquids at high rates. On top of all, there is no wet shirt taste or any other type of taste associated with it. Yes, if you overdo it, it can have a nutty taste to it for the first few drags but that's it.
Finally, if you do somehow exceed the rate at which your rayon wick is delivering the liquid, you do get a dry hit but contrary to cotton, it doesn't immediately char since it's flash point is higher than the of cotton. The dry hit taste actually comes from the coil itself. That's why if you get a dry hit at the end of a tank in the middle of a desert, you can refill the tank and keep on vaping and the burned taste will dissipate after a few drags. The rayon itself is usually still ok.

My two euro cents. :)

I'm not here to argue Rayon or Cotton. There both good. I like cotton better You can use what you like :)

With all due respect to P Busardo, his testing left a lot to be desired. There's not a single thing that cotton does better than rayon. Period.

Not everybody sees the white bright light at the end of the tunnel but that's OK because otherwise there would be a world shortage of rayon which would drive prices sky high :D :D

Did you know that those melatonin bottles where rayon was first discovered as a wicking medium (sold at Walmart) completely dissappear from the market? I wonder if there was a relationship... ?

It's all good as long as we're happy ;)

Honestly guys I dont see any difference between Rayon and Cotton. I am using Rayon because I bought it and I might as well use it but I also have cotton on hand and to me they both wick about the same and they both taste about the same. Just my :2c: on it.
Ok. Run the same cotton for two weeks and then tell us it's the same as rayon :)
