Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

Has anyone received the kayfun V4 from "Vaporrange" yet? Does it appear to be a Tobeco as advertised and is it working lol.

If it turns out to be terrible and barely functions or doesn't function at all for that matter i have zero issues with someone lying directly to my face to tell me it's fantastic and your new personal favorite, actually i would prefer that .

It was actually #26 stuck on #5. I couldn't get it even with my rubber coated yard gloves on. I had to vice grip the evaporation chamber, and put a little allen wrench in the UC middle section to loosen it up. It'll be fine, not sure how it got tightened down so much, it was odd.

I've had that happen. Had to strip the tank down to get a wrench on #26 and screwdriver in an airhole to free it.

If your JC is tight then #26 auto tightens over time. JC requires periodic maintenance and lubing, which is a bit of a PITA.

I think it's excellent, loads better than the auth. Arrived in 2 days to the UK and I didn't even mind the $40 postage.

I've been vaping with it since 12:30 this afternoon. Excellent clone. All threads are clean and smooth, JC is smooth, no leaks, no negatives so far. Single coil 28ga kanthal @ 1.8ohms, cotton, 50/50 dyi raspberry/green tea. Life is good. I gave the second one to my wife.

PS: They just sent me an e-mail that it shipped 5/8/15. LOL

I almost took a plunge up to the moment I checked out and was welcomed with "39.95 international flat rate" seriously? Priority first class mail is like 6 dollars and air mail is even cheaper.

It's a great deal for you guys but for this side of the pond... Nah.

I think most early clones leaked a bit but it sounds like it's been resolved. My Tobecos never leaked but my FT and FC versions did. I replaced #16 o-ring and they've been great.

Well, I went and ordered one from Vapor Range. I really didn't need it. I have 2 in use, one with kanthal and one with ni200. A third one that I was using, I cleaned up and put back in the box. Now I will have a 4th. I have also been using a lemo drop and lemo V2, but I keep coming back to the Kayfun. I have a 4s in the ni200 built one, and although still more restricted than the lemos, I'm ok with that.

Tobeco seems to be putting the right size for #16.
Mine were fairly clean, drilled the holes on the deck a tad larger, deburred (not much), 2 hours later they are back in the boxes till I need them

Probably around 6 bucks but it's not worth the trouble.

If I really was obsessed with getting that atty, I would buy two and offer one to anyone willing to send the other my way

Like I said though, it is more curiosity than anything. I'm happy with my erlp.

I got to be missing something here , you don't need a 4th one because your not even using the third one that you own , as a matter of fact it felt so neglected that it decided to go into it's home and lock the door , but you decided that buying a fourth one would be a very good idea , am i understanding this right ?

Not criticizing, i'm just curious to find out if this type of thinking can benefit me in some way.

Hey KTMRider - you jumped on the first run of Tobecos like I did, let me know if you notice any difference in the machining or orings or anything in the new ones. I still occasionally have trouble with the first two and that damn #9 coming loose so maybe Tobeco revs their attys as they make new batches kinda like Sigelei did with the 2 Mini 30w boxes I have..
