I got to be missing something here , you don't need a 4th one because your not even using the third one that you own , as a matter of fact it felt so neglected that it decided to go into it's home and lock the door , but you decided that buying a fourth one would be a very good idea , am i understanding this right ?

Not criticizing, i'm just curious to find out if this type of thinking can benefit me in some way.
If I put the 2 together in a dark secluded place, I might get a litter of kayfun V5's. [emoji1] [emoji56] But seriously, at this price, it is cheaper than buying replacement parts.

They're still available as of 4pm today (5-12-15). Since the 5-5 they're averaging 40-plus orders per day, I'd bet the majority of those orders are for the discounted KFv4. If possible I will do more business w/them as I feel they have earned it- as much for the quick shipping as the cheap atty.

Soooo tempted to get #4 but man that will be 3 SS ones and the two I have I already get confused as to what juice I put in each one haha..

Hey KTMRider - you jumped on the first run of Tobecos like I did, let me know if you notice any difference in the machining or orings or anything in the new ones. I still occasionally have trouble with the first two and that damn #9 coming loose so maybe Tobeco revs their attys as they make new batches kinda like sigelei did with the 2 Mini 30w boxes I have..
Will do. USPS says it should've been delivered yesterday but it's still in transit from LA, CA.

#9 got loose when I used them on my Cloupor Mini because of the goofy 510 screw center pin messing with #1. Doesn't happen on my spring loaded center pin devices. They do loosen over time when you loosen and tighten the JC. I just check every once in a while or when the resistance moves a bit. Tightening #1 fixes the resistance issue.

They shipped quickly but I'm still cautiously optimistic.

I'm looking at mine, I can say the 510 contact screw and the spring are silver plated (no idea of the spring alloy), #9 was fully tightened and this causes no seizing/binding of the juice control ring- in fact if anything the ring is a bit on the loose side. Absolutely ZERO machining oil feel or smell, although it'll be thoroughly cleaned before use just like any other atty.

The rest will be evaluated once I put a build on it, but by what I can see so far I anticipate no bad surprises- fingers being crossed!

ETA, still no spare O-rings or screws. There is a spare spring.

I looked around at other stuff on their site and their prices seem to be very fair considering many vendors are grossly overpriced for stuff.

I see a lot of kits for the V4 kayfun and the Tobeco K4 model , anybody find one kit more appropriate than another ? It would seem to me that any K4 kit would work but i'm not too bright so my thinking should always be viewed with extreme skepticism .

By "kit", you mean parts kit? There are two and this is the most appropriate: Kayfun V4 Parts Kit/ Rebuild Kit - 101 Vape The only snag is that it has no spring. The other kit available has a spring but less parts overall. But, really, you should get an updated gold plated spring from an auth dealer anyway.

And if you want a parts kit, the best option is to spend another $4 and get another Tobeco.

Okay, up and vaping. Set it up w/the PMMA tank, used a simple single coil build: 28g, 3mm ID, 1.5 ohms and wicked w/rayon. Two complaints I have so far is the mating surfaces between the juice ring and the base are rougher than they should be and that makes for a gritty-feeling when the JC ring is turned. And the spring lacks ground ends- the wire is round all the way to the ends of the spring. I went ahead and swapped the Tobeco spring for one w/ground, flat ends. In all honesty, this won't be a problem for 90% of users, and if I didn't have a flat ended spring on hand I wouldn't worry about using the stock spring unless I was subohming/using TP.

I have to add this Kayfun v4 clone has the airiest draw of ANY Kayfun I have. It's right up there with the v4 I drilled out to 7/64"! This came as a pleasant surprise. I didn't measure the center post ID, I will next time I have it apart.

I just give the stock spring a little bit of a stretch, works fine. The one I gave to my wife I had to change #16 o-ring. It puked after filling and opening the valve. No big deal, still happy after all I've spent on other junk that didn't work out. As nice as my 316ss clone and ten times better than the clone I bought off of e-bay that now has all the plyer marks on it from trying to take apart anything, sucked, lives with my clearomisers.:2c:

I checked the thickness of #16 on the Vapor Range KFv4, it is exactly 1.5mm. It wasn't an uber tight fit so it should be fine as long as the rest of the machining is to spec. After lubing w/VG, it slid in nicely (save the "TWSS" jokes:facepalm: lol). In fact I lube all the O-rings and threads w/VG, especially when the atty isn't broken in.

Just check vapor range and look at what you guys talking about.... then OMG, Kayfun v4 for less than $10!!!! Unlucky I am not in the US.... I suppose the shipping will kill the deal for me.
Have never own a Kayfun before. I don't know how good Tobeco is but most vapers told me Infinite create (or sourced) a better clone than others. I need one Kayfun though... new to own the one that really start changing the game.

I was actually looking for a few spare parts... @ 10 bux, i have a complete spares baggy. How can this be true? "Together best cooperation." Took a few years, but they are now making it up to me.
I have this to remind me of those early "Tobeco days" For sure they came a long way.

This was their rendition of the GG Odysseus, very poor piece. On their next GG clone, Ithaka,
they did an excellent job. Most of their offerings nowadays are pretty good.

My Tobeco came from VapeNW for $19.99. I thought that was a steal of a deal, but you guys have found extraordinary deals from other vendors.

I second the repair kit from America's best vaping and ecig deals and steals - 101 Vape. Mine came in a couple of days ago and had all the parts you'd ever need to repair a K4. Mine fell victim to the garbage disposal after the center contact nut fell out while washing it in the sink. My wife turned on the disposer a day later and we hear a rattling noise. The square nut was bouncing around and the silicone insulator that was around the nut apparently made it through the blades and down the drain. The nut was scarred up.

After the kit came in and I replaced the parts, it's now working good as new. Even if you aren't having any problems, that kit is a must for backup and repair. You'll eventually need it.

Pay the extra to get priority shipping that's air shipped and traceable. Mine took almost two weeks to travel by a USPS truck that stopped at every small town during the trip from California to Georgia. The $1.99 shipping only reports movement while it's in the original state. Once it leaves California, you don't get updates until it hits a terminal in your state. When it hit Atlanta, USPS reported it and delivered it the next day.

Thanks to whoever posted this deal. Ordered 1 today. Would've gotten 2 but I don't know too much about the tobeco version.
It's generally considered the best version on the market. I have 2 and ordered 2 more. It should be delivered today.
