From what I see in that thread, I like what I see. I have at times of rewicking refilled my primes that way, not really a big deal to me. I would need a extension kit, if that is a 2 ml tank though.

My guess the 22mm is 2 mil, the 24mm will of course be more, so I would bet that is your options, doubt they will do a extension as well.

I like that it's so much shorter. But I'm kind of surprised about the bottom fill. I was hoping SM engineers would come up with some sort of innovative top fill that would be better than Ares, True, etc. I typically don't change AF options anyway, so I don't mind, but the plastic grub screw is kind of old school. Accessing it thru the 510 is kind of innovative, though.

Saw the pics on the other thread.

I fill my Primes the same way too, as I find the top fill function a little annoying considering how low the profile is for the drip tip chimney. Plus, I get a more complete and cleaner fill this way.

I'm wondering with the airflow screw in the 510 on the new Lite, would it accidentally be turned about when screwing it onto mods.

Not if it’s recessed. I’m guessing some will just remove it.

At which point we might be reading of issues with flooding and subsequent shorting of mods? Seems like a iffy place to place the airflow screw.

Which brings me to my next thought of how easy would it be to remove the 510 pin to clean under the deck.

I know it's all speculation at this time, but the engineering brain just runs off with these thoughts.

Yeah, hard to say without seeing it or using it. SM hasn’t really released attys with problems though. They test them thoroughly.

I’m sure “we” “shouldn’t” be talking about this device, even though the cat is out of the bag...

That being said, I’m definitely in for at least two.

The top cap design was surprising though...a solid piece top & top ring (if using OG KFL parts as reference).

From the pictures I’ve seen, the aesthetic of that top cap is kinda ugly to me.

    But...apart from the Kayfun v5, I’ve YET to meet a Kayfun I didn’t like!

Here’s hoping that my MASSIVE vault of KFL+ accessories will work with the base!

THAT would be a HUGE selling point.

I’d love to bust out my original Chris Mun Bell Cap again!

Airflow adjustment or removal shouldn't cause flooding, I wouldn't think. And the grub screw looks like it's nylon or plastic, which wouldn't affect anything electrical or have any potential for causing shorts. But for those that like to change on the fly, it wouldn't be a plus.

I agree with this 100%, as if that matters!

When the Kayfun v4 was released, many were surprised to see a center pin with a similar grub screw in it...accessible only by removing the deck from the base.

Many people wanted more air, so SM created an optional “S kit” that was a wider center pin, with no grub screw inside it. This made a looser draw.

Well, to bring this story to a close, I bypassed purchasing the “S kit” and removed the grub screw. It gave me the perfect restricted lung hit!

Point being, removing that grub screw didn’t affect the performance of the device, no leaking, no flooding, etc.

So, without having seen the NKFL (New Kayfun Lite), I’m assuming that removing the airflow grub screw won’t affect the tank at all.

    If you have 10 mins.

Geens I watched the video and then went to the Evolv forum and found out to download the international version and a different service pack. After that I plugged in my Paranormal and downloaded a 75 DNA C theme with the Replay feature. Now I'm up to date with my Mirage and Paranormal and using the replay on both now. Not sure if anyone actually uses 8 profiles but Replay will only work on one. I only use SS316L and Watts. I'm liking it as I can set the boost, and punch and when using the same coil build it's always there ready to use. Replay when on is the default setting which is cool. I'm loving the Prime as well and found the AF setting to be the second largest opening.

IMG_20190211_201530.jpg IMG_20190211_201511.jpg The display on the Paranormal is awful but I'll change it tomorrow to match the Mirage.

Anyone have a clue to the difference between SS316 and SS316L besides adding the L?
SS316L has less carbon in it than SS316. Generally higher quality for easier manufacturing. Probably better suited for corrosion resistance too.

Not to mention Ping's carbon footprint will be smaller. I know this is of utmost concern to him. :)
