Congratulations on your success! Whatever works for you Venator. If the koh gen do works for you then so be it. That's what I use and I've never had any trouble. I'm sure there are those who use cotton bacon, rayon, silica, the cat's tail, and who knows what else and they make it work for them. All is good. Enjoy!

Bronze I must admit, you gave me good advice how to build it and even with cb the problems was way too less and that because of you, but with kgd full success.
Gotcha.....I hear alot about cotton bacon and was just curious that if you ever used rayon on how it might compare...I just have had great success with rayon, so I never figured it was worth trying something different in the last 3 years..

Not sure about cats tail, but I use to use hemp for a while around 4 to 5 years ago and it was pretty tasty stuff. The only pain was it needed a lot of prep, like picking out chips of wood and boiling. I have recently seen though, that you can get it ready to go, so I might buy a little packet and try again....the problem is that when I re try or revisit things I did in the past, I don't like them anymore, I did this recently with re trying squonking and gennys, both I spent alot of money and both didn't match up against what I'm doing now

Hi, newbie here.
I’ve been a smoker for the past 20 years
I’ve tried to switch to vaping about 4 years ago when vaping was booming but i failed,
I vaped about 1 month then go back to smoking.
But this time i really want to quit, well my last cigarettes was about a month ago.
My friend recommended me to get an aspire breeze 2 and a salt nic with it and inreally like it.
Then i search my storage room for my vaping equipment which has been sitting there for years untouched.
I found my good ol Hanamodz v3 DNA 30 and few tanks, kayfun 3 clone, nautilus, magma rda.
The hanamodz still works allright after i change the battery.
But all the o rings in the tanks has been hardened so I searched this forum and some other forums and get my self a berserker.
I really like it but the problem with it is that it flooded every time infill it . Anyway i bought my self anothermod to use with the berserker as the 24 mm cant fit into my hanamodz.
Long story short, i was looking for the “best” MtL tank and many of the forums says thst the kayfun prime is the one.
So i get one . I dont want the clone as it might has problem like leaking,flooding,etc.
So i get myself an authentic kayfun prime ( i get it from 1 of the svoemesto dealer in my country, and i get to know them through the link in svoemesto homepage)
So 2 days ago it arrived and im really excited.
But when i open the box , first thing i noticed is that the box snd packaging are different than the one that i saw in youtube reviews.
And then the ss tank engraving is kuala lumpur (i thought it supposed to be 1 of 10 random cities in Russia?)
Other thing that I noticed is different than those YouTube reviews is the air hole
On mine, the smallest hole has some kind of beveled edges, if you imagine you see the hole from the sides, like a cross sections, the smallest hole shaped like “V” where all the othe hole shaped like “ll” I attached a picture to explain it better.
Another thing is that the “machining” or brushing on the top cap is really bad, looks like unfinised work, I don’t know what to expect from such an expensive tank, this is my first one. But to me it doesn’t look like a $100+ tank to me.
The finish on the other part are ok, only the top cap that is bad.
I also bought the extension glass tank to go with it.
My build is 7 wrap spaced ss316L 2,5mm 16 watt.
It vaped great after i fill it up
But whenever it’s hit half tank it always leaking so much juice through the airhole slots.
I browse the net and find that some people has this problem too but mostly ont the clone.
They say the culprit is the O ring ont the extension chimney.
I just put a new build today and run the tank with the short glass so we’ll see wheter it solves the lesking or not.
Anyway after few days of use, i can say that I really like the vape it gaves me, to me it’s a little bit more flavour full than the berserker and it doesnt flood or gurgle after refilling.
But the top cap finishing and the leaking problem with the extension kit really makes me wonder wheter or not this tank worth its price.
I dont think i got cheated by the store as theyare authorised svoemesto dealer and it comes to me with the sticker seal intact.
And also iv’e checked the serial withe the svoemesto sites and the verified it ‘s indeed authentic.
One more thing
I’ve been smoking marlboro menthol light in the past 20 years, can you guys recommend me any liquid that can replace it for me?
Some how when i tried tobacco liquid it all taste funny and making me sick.
So far i’m liking the pirates of monkeys island from forbidden juice, but it’s a little too cool for me , making my brainfreeze.
I dont know what terms to look in the liquid to replicate the “coolness” of marlboro menthol”
Should i look for menthol,mint,or ice liquid?
And one more thing, im thinking to get myself a paranormal 250c mod to pair with the prime.
As i heard tc is good and dna is one of the best tc chip out there.
Do you guys have any other suggestions? Or that’s the best ?

I don't have tons of time....But I will drop my first thoughts.
That bottom pin on the 510 connection. See that spare dime/penny that you have laying around. Tighten it up. Common issue. It'll cause the ohms to jump around.
As for the leaks....Around you shutting down the juice flow before you unloosen the top cap? Twist it to the left, then fill it. After it's filled twist it again. If your wicking is good, and depending on the juice. Should be about 1 1/2-2 twist to the right.
About the only time I get leaks is when I don't fully shut down the juice control before filling it. I do get some minor juice leakage at the bottom if I do a half ... juice at re-wicking it.
Well my time is up for now. Good luck, the Kayfun Prime is a great tank, if not the best MTL tank.

I’m not able to help with your gear questions, but I looked up the juice you mentioned. Fruit flavors work well for those who don’t like tobacco e-liquids. HHV has really good, authentic tasting fruits. You can add menthol in mild, medium or heavy to get to the amount you enjoy. Monkey Mango with menthol added might be one you like. There’s also Pineapple Mango Smoothie.
HHV tobaccos are the only ones I found that I liked. The naturally extracted tobaccos are especially good. I’ve heard people who smoked your brand say Dark Horse with menthol gets close.

Yes, leaking out the airway is common when the wicks are too close to the inner deck wall. More tomorrow. And congrats on trying to quit again. 40 years of smoking...time to quit if you wanna live.
As accessodenied stated, one reason for leaks is not totally closing juice control when filling, sometimes when new, it can be a little sticky , so just make sure it's completely closed. Another reason is not enough wick and especially not enough in the tails (portion in the ledge) being your probably not cutting just the tails , you might not have enough cotton, period. Or perhaps your cutting your tails too short? Any one of these can cause a little dribbling out the airholes. Another reason is adding to much eliquid to tank, so always leave a little space . pictures of your build might help....besides that, could be an oring issue, so replacing all might do it.....you also might want to check the tightness of the airtube, which is under the bottom plate...take out the 510 screw and bottom plate and you will see a 1/4 inch hex nut that is part of the airtube, as you tighten this, the whole thing will spin and tighten, just don't over tighten, as you only need this fairly snug. As for your prime, all I can say is some of the writing on bottom plate seems darker then mine, like the numbers on yours seems a darker writing unless it's just the camera angle , also my smallest hole is beveled, but it doesn't seem as beveled and mine is just a hole, no slots inside. But yours might just be a newer run perhaps as usually if the numbers match on their site, it usually authentic. ...pics please....is your coil spaced pretty good? Sometimes in a short coil , the wick can bunch at the deck and drip down..I also agree on heathers heavenly vapes

It actually looks pretty darn good imo, the only thing I would say is to add a bit more cotton...maybe what is happening is the cotton is collapsing after a bit of time and once that happens you get an issue... your cotton looks good in the pic, but once saturated it might be slightly whimpy. So that's one thing to try, maybe someone else might see another issue. One more question, so after 3/4 of a tank it starts to dribble, but once you fill again it doesn't dribble until that tank is 3/4 empty? How many turns is your juice control opened?

Your build looks really good. Agree with Divrr though. Maybe add just a little bit more cotton. If you are still getting leaks after that change the o rings. And not just the ones on the deck. You’ve maybe accidentally damaged an o ring in the top cap or on the tank sections where everything connects. Worth a try. I ran into gurgling problems last month and changed the o rings and that solved all the problems.
This is a good idea , cause if it's to low, the wick can be bunching at ledge and possibly dripping around coil, so a height around 1.5 to perhaps 2 mm above airhole is good

I think the leaking is coming from the wick. Yes, I agree the coil is a little too close to the airhole. Also, move the wicks to the outside of the well.
