The airflow (at its highest setting) is more than adequate for me.Excellent Bronze. I knew you'd be impressed! It's a quality little tank. Airflow absolutely spot on. Flavour is exquisite. And top fill just adds to it. My favourite thing about it is the size though. Just the perfect size for me.
Glad you clarified the capacity. I've been doubting the 2ml stated capacity since I got it.
No idea how you jammed 6.6 mls of juice in your Prime.Just measured my Prime's capacity... 6.6ml
I'm sorry. I simply do not share your view or assessment of the K5. But your views are always appreciated. It's weird how the K5 even got invented really. Kind of a disruption in an otherwise perfect series of product development. Overall i think Svoemesto dropped the ball with the K5. I mean, what were they thinking ?!.
Existing fans were just as excited in receiving a K5 as they would have been with any other previous innovation from Svoemesto. And even after using the K5 would say "it's a great RTA" but only because, i think, they wanted it to be. "Oh it'll be alright if i get the MTL kit" i hear them say.
I read through the K5 threads and there really was a definite noticeable air of disappointment coupled with a backdrop of rapidly fading optimistm. "It could work if i get the MTL kit" when what really they meant was "it should work without one".
So Svoemesto released an RTA which was designed for a direct lung hit. Not exactly a linear direction from Svoemesto. An instant "WHAT THE ...." response from Kayfun lovers would have been hitting the nail directly on the head. You've read the threads right ?, i mean really read through from the beginning. If you haven't i'd like to sum up in my own words by describing it not as an instant "WHAT THE ...." but more of a dithering, wishful, hopeful, falsely upbeat incomprehension as if they knew what they were buying but at the same time knew that what they were buying was something they didn't really have any use for at all.
So you might respond to this and say "the K5 is as good as any other Kayfun". I've read the threads. When the K5 was released, as always, Bronze starts a new dedicated Kayfun thread. The K5 thread is riddled with disappointment. After learning the K5 was designed for direct lung everyone still bought one anyway, and their disappointment can be seen written within this thread. It made me laugh !. Pages and pages of complaints about how the K5 is a direct lung device etc etc, even though they all knew it wasn't what they wanted from the start. I figure more K5's were sold to dirct lung hitters than to cloud chasers. It's not like there is any shortage of direct lung RTA's out there is it !?. Maybe Svomesto just wanted to add their latest effort to the mountain of already existing direct lung devices.
WHY ?.
For me though, personally, i would have been perfectly happy to see changes made to the V4. That would have a positive direction to go in. Take the build deck from the K5 and the juice AND air flow control from the Prime and you would have had the next release from Svoemesto. And i know no one would have had any complaints about that !. Though i still have to ensure i don't jam up the device by not closing the airflow before trying to remove the deck.
So !, i am excited about the new Kayfun Prime. Really excited !. Can i afford to buy one at the moment ?, NO !. I am perfectly happy with my V4 and nothing can possibly replace that. Those were my thoughts a few days ago though. Unlike the V5, i, as well as everyone else already know, that the Kayfun Prime is about as perfect as an RTA could ever be. And also unlike the K5 there are and will be no nagging doubts.

So you made the switch to TC? It may be an optical illusion that the prime deck is smaller, but it's actually the same exact size as the km3...all dimensions are exact and seems the same. The only difference is the ledge on the prime is rounded one one side and square on the other, where as the km3 is round on both sides. So there is a miniscule more area in the ledge lenght in the km3, but the build deck seems exact. ...I use the exact build and rayon amounts in both. ...any DF yet?The deck on the Prime is definitely small. Even smaller than the KM3. I change out coils more often these days now that I do temperature control (versus power mode using kanthal) so it's somewhat of an issue for me but not a major one. Also seems to be a bit warmer. But I kind of anticipated that with the smaller chamber. No problem. I can always lower the temp. Flavor is fantastic.
I don't have a hussar, but I do own about 10 different high end rta's and each one tastes different, so much so that I dedicate certain flavors to each tank according to my preferences of how I like a certain juice. My fav juice is a tobacco (dragons fire ) and after many builds and swaps in each tank, i like it's flavor in the kayfun mini v3 the best, so that's where it stays....One thing i'm noticing. Maybe its just me, but the flavour is really enhanced (tobacco). So much so that its to much with some juices. Its like the sour notes comes out more. To test, I used the same juice in the Hussar and the KP and it does taste different to me...
Maybe go for more minimilistic mixes....for sure, not all tobaccos works for me in the KP.
I'll experiment some with my single mixes. Anybody else notice something...?
Hey Diver. Yes, I went to TC when I got my DNA 75 a few months ago. Never tried it prior because the DNA 75 was my first TC mod. Didn't really care it had TC but since I had it I thought I would try it. Is TC better than power mode? If so it is only marginally better. Certainly not a game changer for me. TC fits the way I vape a little better. I have a habit of hot boxing when I vape. Take a few hits before pulling it away from my mouth. I can keep it from getting too hot better in TC versus power mode and it keeps me from making a mistake (hitting it too long). I can achieve the same thing by pulsing the fire button but with TC I keep the fire button pressed the whole time. Once I got used to that (seemingly minor) change I just found I liked it a little more. But again, nothing major. It just added another layer of regulation for me...all at the top end.So you made the switch to TC? I would like to do TC, but for me it is the SS wire...I have tried it and enjoyed the little advantages of it, but , (and maybe it's in my head) I felt like the SS wire was a bit more mellow and didn't have that little zing of kanthal, so I went back... I'm enjoying the prime very much and there is no doubt I will be buying another.....anyways good to talk to ya, our kayfuns are adding up, we have now been posting from the original kayfun thread to now the prime.Hey Diver. Those little rounds on the ledge make a difference on the KM3. I find I can't snap my wicks in as easy on the Prime. But again, it is one of those things I will compensate for and will end up being no problem at all.
Yepper. That's where I met you Dive. On that original KFL thread. Been several new releases since. Being that it probably is my favorite kayfun to date, I might just do that...Yepper. That's where I met you Dive. On that original KFL thread. Been several new releases since. If you ever get a wild hair up youryou should do a Prime review.
