Yes, the von erl or something? I did talk to him about it because I seen a video of his and he did recommend one in particular. I probably will buy one he recommended, but also want to buy a second type just incase and I'm thinking juul

I recall those pods were refillable.

Although I’m vaping for seven years now I never was coiling with my two clumsy left hands. Imeo from Golden Greek invented those ready-made Springs Which started to interest me. They tasted a LOT better And at the end where a lot cheaper than all these factory built cups from Cubis, Kangertech, Aspire and Others I went through.
Now my son gave me a coil master set and so I “had to” try coiling. First thing I had to buy was a head magnifying lens, and with this I built my first, well, not really nice looking coils. But I started to get the fun out of it.
Then my dealer offered me, what he said, the perfect mod for coiling rookies
The Asmodus Colossal.
This thing, pretty small and handy, has besides several different temperature, Wattage and volt control modes it offers thatoption of a “Curve” mode.
With this you can start with high Watts Which very fast heats up the coil, even a misbreed of a coil, and then you can reduce the Watts in selectable time slots and Watts down to your sweet spot.
I am currently starting with 25W, and then in half second steps going down to my favorite 18 W.
With all others, even my Dicodes mod, The full flavor only comes out with the second or third puff, the colossal brings it out from the very first moment.
I love it!

That sounds a lot like the HotShot Boost mode which Provape first introduced with the P3

Their algorithm was very intelligent, although a total secret, but it gave you the ability to set the Boost level and the mod would fire the coil at a higher wattage for a preset amount of time, before dialing back down to the user-chosen wattage.

It essentially eliminated the “ramp up time” of thicker gauge wire coils.

How about you , HB, you really like the juul? Besides the syphx, have you tried any other? Want to get one for the wife, thanks buddy

The factory brand JUUL pods are not refillable.

HOWEVER, there are a few companies out there that make JUUL compatible “blank” pods...intended to be refilled with your salt nic juice of choice.

Link:

https://www.electrictobacconist.com/search/juul-empty

This is the USA branch of this vendor, and I’m pretty sure they have a UK branch.

I have not tested these empty pods, but they’re cheap enough it would be worth a shot.

I'm not sure about the Juul @vapdivrr. I wasn't thrilled with the juices, though you can't beat the tinyness, and it does work well with minimal problems.
Other closed (i.e. non-refillable from the manufacturer, though I see above that some 3rd party sells them now for the Juul) pod systems have the same issue for me: not crazy about the juices. Myle is the best for me, but still not wonderful juices.
Of the open pod systems (empty pods you can fill with juices of your choice) I've tried, I've tossed several. Issues with leaks or hassles refilling or undependable.
If your wife wants the same form factor, I'm not sure I can point you to something. Juul or Myle, I guess.
If she's willing to consider something a bit larger: Aspire Breeze 2, Aspire Aio Nautilus. And Lost Vape Orion, which is not cheap, but the best I've found, which is refillable, tiny and elegant.
Just MYHO.

I'm glad you posted this! Ever since asmodus came out I was kind of interested because the design is taken from my very favorite mod, the STRATUM by olc. Although the design is basically the same as the stratum, I never could find an asmodus (or they just didn't make one until the colossal ) with a single 18650 and close in size to the strats. After you posting, I took a look at this mod and it's pretty close in size (still need to check out the weight however). Strats are 76x36x25 and asmodus is 76x40x25. I love small single 18650 light mods, so kind of interested. Do you know the weight without the battery? I know the strats I have are aluminum (89 grams), so I'm sure they are lighter then the admodus, but at 400 to 600 dollars per mod, a little extra weight wouldnt bother me. Hopefully they aren't much over 100 grams. Here are the strats, pretty close in design. All are strats, but there's one in the second pic that's a delrin strat and a different design

Fasttech has Colossal at 146g. But I've found FT is often not in agreement with the specs others list, esp. in regard to weight. I think sometimes, they must list package weight. But they're one of the few sites that actually include weight in their specs.
$48.95 Authentic asMODus Colossal 80W TC VW APV Box Mod - 5-80W / 1*18650 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Thanks brew....I guess with battery it would be close to 200g. That's one heavy little mod....

I use the JUUL just for convenience and getting a nic fix. You can open the factory pods and refill them, there are many YouTube tuts on this process, but I can't imagine this is going to last for more than a refill or two before it starts leaking all over your pocket. I've never tried. The device itself is ... okay, but like HB said it fills with condensation eventually. I don't love the flavors, but their Tobacco is okay, their current new release Classic Tobacco I actually kinda like, but I've never bothered to purchase empty pods to refill with my own salts (that's what dicodes + Prime is for :) Or for that one hit and head is spinning nic salt solution in a RDL atty: High end RTAs

I just use it the way it's designed, as a disposable e-cig which allows stealth vaping and is very easy to carry around. I would never use it as my all day device. It really mostly crappy tech which reminds me of the vape experience circa 2009/2010. The only thing that makes it work = it has very high nic, it's tiny, it has great marketing/nice small package which you can drop in a pocket and it's 1/10th the size of the smallest 18350 that exists (Dicodes). It's also just omnipresent. Every gas station I've stopped at has JUUL and pods available.

If you want to experiment with tiny pods, Aspire has their AIO Nautilus pod kit, so I have a place to slot those 1200+ Nautilus cartos that are just in boxes since I use RTAs almost exclusively. But... I've never bothered to try one. The JUUL just kinda solves the need for an immediate, immense nic hit in a tiny device that works great for a few weeks, and then kinda starts to fall apart.

It also seems to be kicking off Vapocalypse 2018

IDK, oh well, bummer, I've been stocked up for 100+ years since August 2016, so for me the above is just Yet Another Re-run of The Vape World is Ending (Take 12, cue same music since back from 2010 or so when vaping was going to get banned the first time).

Uhm, lemme stop posting about JUUL in the Prime thread :)

To sum it all up: if you smoke cigs and want to stop. Taking a few hits off a JUUL will get you an immense nic fix and alleviate your need to light up a cig. Is it built to last? No. Is it going to hold together and not leak and annoy you if you keep refilling the pods? No. It's just what it is, a very small, convenient semi-disposable.

Wow, thanks so much for that!! I think I'm liking the black too....hate to ask, but I mainly see it at 76mm in height, but also seen it at 80, no hurries, but if you get a chance can you let me know?

My booklet says 76mm. Haven‘t Noticed any others, but to be honest I didn’t look at the size. It is small, nice, feels round and handy and if it is 4 mm more or less ..... well.
Thanks again, much appreciated

Purse?
That's the whole problem.
If I (just the boy that I am) wanted to carry a purse, then the problem is solved. Stick the Provari's in there, no problem.
But, my purse is my pockets, and there's only so much I can fit in there, thus my interest in pod mods.
In my "purses" are a wallet, a mobile, car keys if I'm driving, house keys, and reading glasses (which annoys me no end that I require them.)
That leaves precious little room for a big old mod.
Lost Vape Orion. That's the ticket. Small, sleek, elegant, vapes great.
It's not cheap compared to other pod mods, but it's in a different league. But, I think we've all bought Provari's, byLeo's, VapourArt's over the last few years. They weren't cheap either, and we're probably still using them.

And her regular mod is the sbody macro, it weights 80 grams and is literally the smallest 18650 mod you can buy.

I wish i could carry a purse. I could throw the usual stuff in there. Wallet, keys, change, e-cig, pocketknife. Add a bottle of juice, battery charger, some wicks n coils. Hell, throw a cordless drill a couple wrenches and a socket set in there too. Those would come in handy. Toss in a couple cans of beenie weenies, a moon pie or two and an RC cola in case I get hungry. These chicks have no idea how good they got it.

I have an ancient LLBean tan canvas brief case. In it one can find batteries in silicone cases, an APV, Kind bars, spare change, a couple of discount cards (using made up names and email addresses for my paranoia), office keys or personal keys, Oh, and a couple files, yellow pad and a computer to assure myself that this is not a purse but rather it is a brief case.
