a green prime?!?As much as I would love to have a black Prime. I can't justify the price. I've purchased three Dicodes in the past year. So yeah, I should wait, till after the holidays. Really curious to see what svoemesto will release in the future.
Not that I would be interested, but you would think in this day and age, they would do a tank that had drop in coils. As much as I would love to have a black Prime. I can't justify the price. I have to disagree, old friend!
With so much of the future of vaping on unstable ground these days, especially in the USA, the smart move is to stick with rebuildable.
If any major damage is done to the vaping community, and drop-in coils become unavailable, any tank that requires them becomes an expensive paperweight!
As it is now, it’s MUCH easier to stock up on thousands of feet of wire, and years worth of wick material, for a lot less than years worth of drop-in coils...and nobody is even sure what kind of shelf-life drop-in coils have, given the fact that most of them have an insulator that may degrade over time (Aspire coils).
There are vendors out there, such as Atmizoo, who have created tanks (Keras) that have the ability to use drop-in coils (Atlantis family), but also have the option of very well engineered RBA decks.
So, I think I’ll retract my disagreement, and meet you in the middle.
SvöeMestö should make a tank that can use a drop-in coil, but can also be an RBA.
And they’d make a damn good one, I’m sure of that!
Good points Corpse but they make most of their dough on an atty during the first 6-12 months after release. I’d think they could have scored big with a drop-in. But then maybe they just want to be known as rebuilders. Who knows.I have to disagree, old friend!

expensive? I thought a nautilus was like a 20 dollar tank. I do see the point however because anything svoemesto is expensive and to not be able to find coils would definitely be a shame . It just seems no one rebuilds these days, it's becoming a dinosaur and thought drop ins could be where the money is made, but I think your right about the uncertainty .if aspire would stop producing those nautilus coils, many would be left with useless expensive tanks.
.
It apears to me that you are very wrong in this utterance. However, if you have a reliable source for this statement, I will bow to your superior knowledge....It just seems no one rebuilds these days...

The Kabuki is quit an expensive tank(96$ @ CDV right now).
personally i don't mind as long as it avoids flooding,
i bought the Berserker mini and ended up filling it from the bottom too because of this.
I quit wasting my money on crap that doesn't work once I found the Kayfun Lite some six years ago. Been with Svoemesto ever since and other than a few drippers haven't wasted a single penny on anything else. In the end I saved dough and haven't wasted my time on junk. Svoemesto simply works and lasts and can't be outperformed.Wanna know what really drives me nuts. You look at these reviews for tank and mods. Gets amazing reviews. So you drop the money, and total disappointment. I have a hard time believing reviews anymore. Wish I knew how much money I've wasted on junk vaping gear. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Provari, Svoemesto, and Dicodes.
I think you're right, Divrr. If they don't have some great stuff in the works, SM could be headed for trouble, unless they want to be a very low volume, high priced boutique product for loyalists. Once upon a time, they were the king of mtl - fantastic, innovative products that were far better than anything out there. They lost some time and ground with the over engineered V4, alienated many loyalists with V5, and tried to reclaim them, with fair success, I guess, with Prime. Not that I would be interested, but you would think in this day and age, they would do a tank that had drop in coils.

You may very well be right about that $22 atty being superior to a Kayfun. I certainly believe you believe that. I might even believe it. But I’ve been disappointed trying other gear way too many times to even bother with it anymore. Besides, after putting countless miles on my various Kayfuns they still show zero signs of wear and tear so I have no need to try anything else.I think you're right, Divrr. But the market has changed dramatically in even just the last year. Prior to that, sub-ohm took over the world, and is now showing signs of ebbing while Juul and countless pods are capturing market. Fewer people are interested in building, because they don't have to to get a great vape. In just the last couple of years, more than a few very good, well made, top performing (lower priced) mtl tanks have been killing it. And most of those designs use fewer parts, require less fiddling, and are easier to use. Increased competition will keep cost down, and I think the days of $100+ high end atties are numbered. FDA fears notwithstanding, vaping is capturing a lot of attention, and will attract players with big budget designers, engineers, and marketing, catering to a large market that wants low cost, satisfying simplicity. I expect vaping in some form to explode in the near future even more than many of us could have imagined even a year ago.
I was a Kayfun guy myself, and might be smoking cigarettes today without them, so I owe them a debt of gratitude. But hey - they don't hold the sway they did even a year or so ago. Right now, I'm hitting an authentic atty that can be had for as low as $22.00 new, and delivers a vape (for me) far superior to Kayfun's, and is easier to use. And it is replacing an atty that cost even less, and lasted close to a year of daily use without a drop of leaking, gurgle, no orings replaced, never a sub-par build that just didn't cut it- never an issue. Next year, there will likely be more good choices. Sorry, I know this will ruffle a few feathers here on this thread, but it is the only active Kayfun thread, so...
All that said, I do hope they stay relevant, and come up with the next latest and greatest thing.
I said it appears to me, as for facts, yep there right here in my back pocket. I am talking about svoemesto and rebuilding and when they came out with the first kayfun, I think a good portion of vapors back then were rebuilds because there weren't to many other options. Every year since, more and more options on drop ins has occurred and now with pods, I believe the percentage of the vapors who rebuild compared to those that dont, are nowhere near what they use to be. I see it out and about and see it here in the forums. Hell I only see about 1 percent of new vapors in the new members forum talking about rebuilding, where as years ago it was way more. You seriously dont see drop ins and pods taking over the majority? It apears to me that you are very wrong in this utterance. However, if you have a reliable source for this statement, I will bow to your superior knowledge.
