hmmmmm.....I’m having difficulty with my stealth mini and the prime nite, keep getting the dreaded “OP” error. It will work without the beauty ring but that just looks like crap. It will work on my Siegel box mod but none of my mini’s. That’s just how things have been going for me lately, lol! I like it though! I tried adjusting the center pin but no go.

I have not built mine yet. Hopefully I'll get to that tonight. My plan was to use it on a P3 Stealth, but I'll try it on a Mini too and let you know.

Yeah, those beauty rings can be a pain. Usually adjusting the center pin works. Is Bill the repair guy still around? You could have him convert your minis to a P3 top and get rid of that beauty ring.

Yeah, those beauty rings can be a pain. Usually adjusting the center pin works. Is Bill the repair guy still around? You could have him convert your minis to a P3 top and get rid of that beauty ring.

I believe my purple mini has the P3 top, won’t work on that one either

Lemme ask you, is the beauty ring resting on top of the Provari or are the sides of the ring resting on the sides of the Provari? Seems to me I sanded the bottom of the ring once and I got it to work.

Actually, I belled out the bottom of the ring so it would slip further down the Provari. I took a ball peen hammer and tapped it down with another hammer. That helped. I might have a picture of it somewhere. lemme see if I can dig it up for you.

Lemme ask you, is the beauty ring resting on top of the Provari or are the sides of the ring resting on the sides of the Provari? Seems to me I sanded the bottom of the ring once and I got it to work.

I’m pretty sure it’s on the sides, not by much but just enough apparently

OK, found it (got lucky...it was buried). Study the picture closely. I took a ball peen hammer and clamped it in a vice. I put the ring on the peen (open side down). Then I put a washer on top then smacked it with another hammer to push the sides of the ring out a little (I smacked it pretty hard a few times). It was enough to allow the ring to sit further down on the Provari so the center pin could make contact. Of course, my rings were made of metal. You could probably also skip the vise and turn everything upside down and do the same thing (but you will be hitting the other end of the ball peen hammer). Or turn it sideways and press it with the vise. You with me, X?

Smacking it would likely mar up the paint on those black rings. But you can always strip the paint off and make it all silver.

I only have 1 black ring, not messing with it!

That’s the one mini that is losing paint, I never put a clear wrap on it. Kinda sad but it’s still pretty.

ProVape did have issues with attys making contact. And not only their P2/2.5/Mini models.
