Haha FIVE vape MAIL packages just yesterday!:laugh::evil: I said it earlier..I feel like I am on a runaway train...choochoo!

Wow just caught up with 8 pages....looks like you are all set for blast off.

Start saying goodbye to your MPV because once the REO has juice and battery nothing else will do...lol

KS, the multimeter is really easy to use.

1) Set it for resistance (ohms) and touch the two leads whereever you want to measure. In the case of an atty, touch one lead to each of the post screws. For other stuff, a "short" is really just NO resistance, zero ohms, so it's easy to check for shorts on most anything (as long as there's no current running through it at the time you're testing).

2) To test your batteries, either after use, or just off the charger, set the meter to volts (V), place the RED lead at the positive end (nipple, button, etc.) and the black lead at the other end. Just off the charger, you should see about 4.2 volts. If you really give your batteries a workout, maybe 3.5ish, but most of us change them out around 3.9, where there's a noticable drop off in vapor/warmth. Note that you CAN test battery voltage at the atty this way, but you could also accidentally touch the leads and create a short. It can be done, but you have to be VERY careful not to let them touch.

You can use it to test other stuff, but for simplicity's sake, stick with DC current, not AC like in appliances. That said though, if you make SURE there's no current running through whatever you're testing, you can find shorts in all sorts of things. Switches, in circuits, just change it from "open" to "closed", i.e., zero resistance (for all intents and purposes), and infinite resistance.

That's the quick and dirty version, the booklet that comes with it should tell you how to do all sorts of things with it, if you're so inclined.

I know where this is heading, I can see you in a few months time, a Reo mini for the car (just open the window a bit for when you exhale), a Reo Grand and a Woodvil for home, another Mini or Grand for backup, and any of the above for work/shopping/out and about :2cool: If you have other gear that you like, and its not sitting around collecting dust, then its well worth keeping IMO :)

I've stated that 3 is the correct number.

Of each model

Thank you BC, FB ,AP and Ian!
I ordered some sony batteries anywho.. and the meter you posted. It's all good about the smok thing. I can just keep it.
How does the meter work? You touch the leads on the battery or?
Anyone use one of these? Do you like it?
Atomizer Coil Jig | Pyramid Vapors

I have an original that was designed and made by a Reonaut. Once they got cloned, he quit making them and moved out of Reoville. They work very well, I travel a lot so it's always in my to go bag. At home I use the coil Gizmo which is much easier to use.

Oh and when he says attach a bolt and wingnut on that little loop in the video, did you do that? What size would I need of each? I couldn't understand what he said.

I bought the gizmo too but didn't have a wingnut and bolt to hold the kanthal in place so I used a paper clamp. Looks cheesy but works fine.

Thank you again AP. I live in a home built in the mid fifties. I bet there are some things here I don't want to stick those leads on.

Yes ma'am that is the latest SL/LP sharing time with the best looking Wood around....ok so I may be a bit partial.

Yes I did, it makes it much easier. I have bins of old parts so just threw something on it. Take the 2nd from the smallest one to the hardware and get a bolt, matching wing nut and two washers.

I've been going the other direction lately. Using one of the bigger rods that came with the wire gizmo for a wrap using 27g around 1.2 ohm. It's huge but throws out flavor.

I was just commenting on another thread - do you know which mandrel it is? I've been using the 2nd smallest one so maybe it would be good to try a bigger one.
