gonna try lowering the wattage to 9 watts and ordering from another vendor...if that doesn't work back to my kayfun lite...and just use the nautilus with bvc coils when i'm going out....I tried cleaning my used bvc coils in denture cleaner....works great with cleaning all your tanks....let you know the outcome...denture cleaner was a tip from someone on this forum....cheap and gets everything sparking clean...hot water, drop in the tablet and rinse after the water becomes room temperature...

I'm with you buddy mine last 2-3 5ml tanks before I notice a drop off. They really shine fresh they hiss and spit the vapor and flavor at you but then it doesn't last that long... but like others pointed out what can you expect they are already pretty magical... when I rebuild I change my wicks almost every other day as well so.....

same as you 2-3 5ml tanks then an annoying drop off

Aside from possible quality control with coils something seems a bit off here with the maximum performance or life or definition of this..... I am pretty sure some of you that are getting 3 weeks or 30+ml without noticing drop off just arnt noticing it because maybe you are used to always vaping on pre build with not as much flavor and vapor as a dripper or rebuildables and OR the juice you are using isn't noticeable when the flavor profile might drop off or change.

Yes I said it

So prior to the BVC I built up a collection of Kayfuns, Russians, Taifuns and all kind of clones in between and vaped nothing but this for 4-5months and now after using nothing but the new BVC coils for the past month for a fair comparison going back to the Kayfuns no doubt about it not debatable I personally get better vapor and flavor from the BVC coils.

Curious to see how many others agree / disagree

I've noticed a lot of newer users cranking their devices to the max, thinking this will offer the optimum vapor/flavor. And then they wonder why a) the battery doesn't last as long as advertised, b) everything tastes burnt or juice spits into their mouth, and c) coils last a mere days as opposed to weeks.

My answers: do you drive your car 100 mph all day, every day? Of course not. It's hard on everything and will lessen the life expectancy of the engine and the rest of the vehicle. Consider the variable voltage/variable wattage feature as a "heat dial". Dial it to the max and you're going to cook your juice and your atomizer faster than normal. What could've lasted you two weeks is only lasting several days. Also, I've seen many newer or inexperienced users sucking really hard, taking hard pulls out of frustration. That's not the case with everybody, but it can cause juice to spit into your mouth. If this happens consistently, as in, all the time, the problem is typically user error. Not as often, but occasionally, you'll get a bum coil. Quality control in China is no where near Western standards.

Also, bottom coil clearos, and most tanks these days, work on a pressure system. You fill it up, it creates pressure inside the tank. As you use it throughout the day(s), and the liquid level drops, the pressure inside the tank changes. If you let it get too low, it's going to gurgle, leak, or spit liquid into your mouth. A simple fix? Keep the tank as full as possible at all times. Don't let it get too low.

Have purchased coils from different sources. They are marked , tested , and work. Vaping five pawns and bionic. Taste is as good as on my Kayfun, and Russian. Both authentic. Provari mini, and standard. Good luck. This is over for me. User error IMO.

I'm not saying they don't work fantastic I'm simply saying the amazing performance doesn't seem to last long for me and makes me want to change the coils out every other day.

A few things that I've found that have helped the BVC coils perform better. A lot of these I've read in other threads on here, but just have to share the ones that worked for me:

-I heard this tip from someone on here, but didn't believe it, and then my local B&M guru told me as well: when you have a brand new coil- drip about 2-3 drops of the liquid directly down in coil opening. This really did seem to make a big difference. I think it ensures that there is no dry burning at the start, and helps it last longer. That's what I heard anyway. But all I know is that me and another friend who use em, have both noticed that it's better, and doesn't seem to have any bad side effects. So even if it's like blowing on an old Nintendo cartridge, which turns out didn't do anything- it seemed to work for me,

-The type of juice seems to make a difference. I love Space Jam, and some other thicker liquids, but they seem to tear these coils up much faster. Maybe that's just common sense, but yeah, the lighter juices seem to last longer.

-Don't try cleaning them; it just does harm. I've tried a number of different ways, and in the end I gave up. They are just never the same after soaked in water, or vodka, or even rinsed off. As someone on this thread said, better to just let the new flavor come through if you switch. I usually just clean off the outside with a papertowl and move on.

-And the 1.8 seem to work better for me. Not sure why, but I play it safe and stick to them.

A little update since starting at lower wattage 9-11w vs 13-15w does seem to play a significant role in how long the coils will perform although I can't confirm its this or doing the 3 drops to prime and letting it sit probably a combination of both.

No, pressure means almost nothing. It’s capillary forces that draw liquid, whether it is top or bottom coil (for top coils it’s just more obvious).

People, go make a single 30g 9 wrap around a 14G needle (0.074") coil(the same as the heads) and vape that. Let me know how long that lasts before you need to replace it. :glare:

These are not silica, its not like you can dry burn them clean.

If you guys would stop trying to push these so far, they might last longer. Its not a RDA and nor is it meant to perform like one. These are just advanced carto tanks..

I agree. People pushing these to 12+ watts are asking for alot. Mine are perfect at about 10w. I haven't had an issue yet.

I can confirm that 12+ watts especially 15w takes days if not week(s) off the life of the coil depending how much you vape.
