I dont know if anyone has tried this, and if you have...were your results good or bad? I could see someone dabbing some ejuice on their wrist in a situation where even e-smoking wouldn't be appropriate (i.e. in the middle of a completely lit lecture classroom of 150 students where the professor doesn't even know you exist, let alone want to have his class bothered by someone emitting a puff of "smoke" every few minutes) and maybe it stopping a craving or lasting until a time when the vaping can commence, OR I could see this being a really EASY way to OD on nicotine. Thoughts?

I think some of it is absorbed, but no ideas as to the quantities/dangers. I usually get a bit on my hands when I drip and drive(Yes, I'm bad! Roads are straight out here in flat country!).

I do find if you inhale and hold your breath for a couple of seconds, the visible vapor will dissipate. I do feel like I'm breathing out something, though it may be psychosomatic.

Well nic can be absorbed thru the skin, but as you won't be using a patch which has a different carrying system then the nic liquid..I don't think it's a grand idea. I mean it could work..but I doubt it.
Would it be easier for you to try some snus? Nic gum? A potty break? Vaping in the girls room?
I really thought this would be a different topic! Most people freak about getting the liquid (nic) on their skin..lol!
Good luck! I am sure lots of people will be along to give better advice.

The issue of nicotine toxisity has been addressed on this forum. Nicotine can be absorbed through the skin, but nicotine is also very, very toxic. The nicotine in the juice we buy is not as strong as that which you inhale with tobacco products, so I wouldn't be very concerned. I sometimes get it on my fingers when dripping into my cig and I don't run for the sink, immediately. I have yet to have any negative reaction.

Yeah very little actually.... very safe.
The Nicotine levels in our e liquid are relatively small ~ not even close to being "pure" Nicotine. It works great in the lungs, but I think it would take a lot on your skin to feel satisfaction, or at least "instant" satisfaction anyway. I would just "sneak" a few drags before class.

i tried a real life test a long time back.. smeared a big patch of 36 mg on my inner wrist and waited to see or feel the results..

after twenty minutes i got bored with waiting and cleaned it off.. i did feel a wee bit strange but i think that was down to the psychosomatic effects of doing something that might be dangerous.. lets just call it the "fear or panic" effect..

but then again i am pretty immune to the stuff.. all in all a bit of a let down..

I advise being very careful about applying the juice to skin, even if I do it myself. Several times I have made my own patches by soaking a band-aid with 5-6 drops of liquid and placing it on my calf. This has worked for me, takes a little longer until I get the craving to smoke then, and if I do it before going to bed I don't get the urge for an analog when I wake up in the morning.

Just yesterday i made the mistake of pulling out a filter from my cart and squeezing the liquid with my fingers, it was on my hands for about 2/3 minutes and all of a sudden my heart was racing so fast and my hands and whole body actually was shaking i had to call poison control. I thought i was going to have a heart attack. Nicotine is absorbed thru the skin very quickly and it can be fatal. This horrible feeling lasted about 30 minutes. I took an activated charcoal pill which everyone should have on hand when dealing with liquid nicotine. It absorbs the toxin and u eliminate it out. You can get it at any health food store and even cvs. You are taking a serious risk by putting it on your skin.

Woah, that is scarey..I have touched the nic juice many times and sucked to hard where it got on my lips and burned..I never felt weird from it though..
It does worry me ..so I decided to switch to VG and flavoring w/no nic to be on the safe side..especially if you have kids around, you won't have to worry so much.

Not the first report of accidental overdose via skin contact that I've seen.
No harm in being careful with this stuff!
