Well if we truly want to call em something that sends a warm fuzzy message why not call em cookies?? Cookies are great you know :p

In all seriousness though I personally don't care what they're called, you could call em poop for all it matters to me.

I think calling them e-cigs or electronic cigarettes is good for marketing them to existing smokers and converting more and more people away from analogs. Honestly the technology involved is what piked my interest back in the beginning. The whole health thing is just a side effect :p

From my perspective electronic ________ suggests a better alternative to the original. Sitting here right this moment I can't think of a single thing where the electronic version isn't a better improved version of the original.....
Nope.. still nothing... electronic doors, locks, screwdrivers, pencil sharpeners, drills, saws, windows, all are better than their manual or "analog" counterparts. I really don't see the issue with calling them electronic cigarettes.... now the whole vaping/smoking thing I would think has always been the standard to call it vaping ... but then maybe I'm missing something.. my coffee & nicotine levels are still fairly low this morning so I may not be up to par yet.... If I said something stupid... let me know lol

Okay, okay, I LUV the name "Vaporette". It's one word, does NOT contain anything related to smoking or cigarettes. I would like to get as far away from cigarette related stigma as possible. BTW, the credit for that word goes to someone else, I did not come up with it. Credit goes to Kathyst.

Vaporette says it all

Maybe "Vaporette" should be added to the poll.

It totally should be. Who came up with it? I think I may have been the first to mention it (in another thread) but it's so obvious, I assume it's been floating around long before I hit the scene.

Vaporette. It just sounds cool. I like it a lot.

I haven't read through more then half of these posts, so please excuse me if I'm repeating already rejected terms. Just throwing some things out here, regardless of the legality of patents and such. This is the terminology I prefer.

What I call it depends on the audience.

Police, doctor, HR person: nicoteen inhaler. It keeps me from smoking.

To friends and family: vaporizer, nick stick or mini-fogger.

To my congressman: electronic cigarette.

The juice is, well, just "juice". Could be e-juice I guess.

I'm a vapor. I like to vape. Vaping keeps me from smoking.

Just my 2 cents, your mileage may vary, <instert disclaimer here>
