I don't doubt the possibility at all. I've been writing local reps to stop the Pennsylvania 40 percent wholesale vape tax. Between the regs and tax my local and frequented b&m are in trouble. So the tax angle is a legitimate statement.
Rico. Wishing things were different than they were is only wasting time and energy we can never get back.Imagine an ideal world in which government followed a scientifically informed and benevolent course of action, utilizing tobacco tax revenue to promote vaping and subsidize innovation. In which public health followed their true mandate and used their media access to validate vaping as the ultimate development in smoking cessation. A world where corruption and self enrichment did not drive regulatory agencies, and the mass media reported proven fact rather than sensationalism and hysteria born of puritanical ideology and ignorance ...
Its not easy John, though we do try ...

They already started doing that to me long before the Demon Regulations...One thing I haven't seen mentioned as an outcome/purpose in all of this...deeming them as tobacco gives insurance companies no reason not to charge extra in premiums, as in tobacco user fees....

Cotinine testing - Day three of zero nicotine
I've been zero nicotine for 5 months now.
Even though I can afford their extortion fee should I decide that I want to pay it.
Either way, they win.
But if I get Alzheimers or Parkinsons my wife is going to sue the crap out of them.
And when I say them, I mean ALL of them.
I wish it were so easy...If you are worried abt Alzheimer stay active. All it takes is 15 min a day...just walk briskly.

I apologize for deviating from forum thematic, but on behalf of vapers of ripe age I allow myself to show what I have found on my brief visit toI'm not at home right now. Out of town for a few days. If this subject is still active I'll post some links regarding...

It improves memory, concentration, and attention, even in non-smokers.
What's not to like?

Not sure about Alzheimer's symptoms, I've been using sticky notes for years to compensate for slowly failing short-term memory ...
I watched my own father descend into the depths of dementia, for the last 15 years of his life he did not know who I was. I hope to be spared that tragedy ...
But I am convinced that nicotine directly alleviates the tremors caused by certain varieties of Parkinson's Disease. I can type this post without an error count equal to the word count, because I am vaping today. I see the remarkable difference every day in my own hands, proof enough for me ...![]()

I don't know how much activism idealism can fuel...But a little idealism can fuel a lot of activism ...![]()
But then I don't really need a Stanton Glantz study for anything other than to wipe with.

But since that will never happen, they figure they can get the vaper's to subsidize the lost tax revenue from the smoker's.I still can't understand how a state can rely on an income from tobacco and yet preach they want everybody to be smoke free. I they where to get what they wanted (no more smokers) their system would crumble down.
