That Velocity rda looks like it could be pretty interesting, as long as you like dual coil atties.

penny for your thoughts Tom?

Velocity RDA

Edit: assuming they are going to do more runs of the authentics
I have one but I'm not convinced it has what it takes to be a great BF atty. needs a lot of power, and even bottom fed correctly I get a lot more leakage than I'm happy with. I will say if supplied with enough power it does clouds and taste better than most but by my calculations I'm putting more than 80 watts to it. It laughs at my sunboxes, Reos need not apply. The Velocity on a 2s squonker is nice but for our applications it's older more refined brother works a lot better not to mention is as tall as 3 derringers.

Grin. I remember when CH said he was thinking of offering the manta, I posted that it was gonna be everything the chalice should've could've been but isn't. :p damn atty is phenomenal. Would've been nice if it had a better afc tho but eh flavor wise it's really good, and it's no slouch as vapor production either.

@Rule62, I also found the top cap to be way too tight for my liking. As it turns out removing one of the orings (I removed the lower one) made it a lot better. Still snug and secure but a lot more manageable.

You removed the wrong one because I removed the upper one several pages ago...that makes me right and you wrong.
Actually, I removed the upper because it had a little nick out of it and the lower didn't. I hate when o-rings are inside the cap and I'm terrible at changing them.

Oh I didn't see your post earlier hahaha. Setting up life at a whole new country has been kicking my ..... But yes you must be right :p

Personally not a big fan of orings in the top cap either. I have no idea why manufacturers would choose to do that. It takes too much effort to get them back in with my potato fingers.

Yes, I dislike internal o rings. The Manta is my favorite atty; but It's one minor issue I have. Next time I rewick, I'll take one out.

The Manta is great. I hesitated on that one because I've never been a big fan of JD Tech stuff and it's a pricey atty. I'm glad I bought it....it's my "act like an adult" atty. But, I really like the Stumpy and the rem a bit better. If someone offered, I'd probably trade for one of those...not sure. The REM almost went out the window because of the stupid negative posts...but now that I can build it, it's pretty amazing. Also, the Marquis hasn't been on the shelf since it arrived. What a great atty...and even better as a bottom feeder.
I had waaaay more money before I started following this thread.

I'm thinking about a Stumpy, again. I had removed myself from the list, when the second Manta list was started, and got 2 more Mantas instead. But I could use another atty. I was just concerned about the Stumpy being a bit 'weepy', because of the side air holes.

Hey Tom, what kind of build were you running on that Velocity? Just curious, because I run 0.5 ohm dual Claptons on one I vape pretty much daily. The only time I go over 35 watts is when I want to impress myself with my cloud chasing prowess (as meager as it may be :().

I have tried:
10 wraps dual 20awg (took forever to heat on a 2x18650)
7 wraps dual 24g (good but had me reaching for others)
6 wraps dual 26g (meh).

I had the same concerns...not sure why but I haven't had a drop come out of mine. Possibly the center drain, that thing is like a sink! The Stumpy is a great one.

Plus it's fun to say "Leave me alone, honey! I'm polishing my Stumpy!!!"
