A big shout out to Tom. He is a great guy who makes those extra steps you look for in a respectable seller.
Keep up the good work ...

Anyone that has had a problem with the current batch of mantas please let me know. I have sent JDTech a few very scathing emails and I belive I have beaten them into submission to do the right thing. Check your mantas for 2 things:
1. The post holes and set screws are threaded properly
2. Try all of the afc rings, install them, tighten them down and see if they work correctly.
I worked on one today that with the copper ring installed and cranked all the way down the afc ring just spun like a pin wheel. Days like today are the reason I don't have a storefront.

Nuff said? Those 2 memes in mind I went at JDTech without my usual businesslike demeanor that I try to use when dealing with these companies, not today, I'm fed up! I do need to ascertain the extent of the issues however. If it sucks don't bite your tongue and accept, I will get it right. Btw the spinning ring was the last straw. I'm officially on the War path.

To date, my CF Manta has been all good since replacing the ....ty stock post screws with M3 grubs. I never thought I'd like it as much as I do.
What're the exact dimensions you're using? m3, 3mm?

Guys, Gals, I was wondering what wire type and gauge you prefer the most. I have been using 28 ga kanthol which limits the number of wraps for .4-.5 ohm's, unless its a twisted dual coil. I like the inner diameter at 2.5 so I'm not fighting the wick (cotton).
Was thinking about getting a roll of 24 ga kanthol so I have more surface area (wraps), but I'm not quit sure how well this heats. I figured with seven-eight wraps there would be more surface to wick.
Perhaps I should try different wire. Anyone have experience with stainless?...Any help would be appreciated.
I have not YET tried it in a BF but I am really liking NiFe52/48, though exclusively for TC, now.
What appeals is that it behaves just like Kanthal A1, particularly dry-burn-ability.
In terms of resistance a 6-wrap single gets you to about 0.26-0.27, while 9 or 10-wraps gets you 'way up to' 0.5-0.6 ohms.
It will be my preferred wire once the CAM-R is released. Can you imagine?!
Want to hear your experience with it. You can order from Germany
