Reservatious?...that's a damn good word, way better than irregardless (the good folk at Webster finally gave up on that one and said fine!, you all want to butcher the English language? if you're gonna make up words, at least spell it right!) :p

I will admit to being a "cotton packer" and I've been making attempts to lighten up and it is better...I think Super's vid finally drove it home...quit being so lazy and just squonk more

Good job!

Great vid Super-x! First one of yours I have seen, and I have to admit that I am a tiny bit disappointed that you aren't really Samuel Jackson - my favorite crazy hitman!

I am using cc rayon wicks now and really liking the performance. There will always be some uncertainty about what we are inhaling, be it sterile cotton, rayon, ss mesh, etc. Since those of us who have been vaping for years already ARE the vanguard of this thing called vaping, we are also the guinea pigs... but we can be smart guinea pigs by gathering as much info as possible -- so far, it seems that the process of creating rayon ends with a clean product suitable for our purposes. I wonder if we can get some guinea pig pay from big corporations as they try to take over this movement with federal regs. I mean think of the work we have saved them in product development - there outta be a law!!

It does not need to be boiled. If it makes you more comfortable I don't see as it would hurt. Make sure you use distilled water or you are introducing more contaminants. Boiling may make it harder to wick by changing the consistency and "scrambling" the fibers.

I just tried boiling some. Won't do that again. Wound up with a mell of a hess. But gee. With 500 feet to play with "Who cares".

Jan- how do you compare the rayon to the Readyx that you were trying out?
Rudy, I'm really liking it. It seems more absorbent to me. Fewer squonks. I've only been using it for a few days. I really like the READY-X-WICK....especially the 1 mm version. BUT, this stuff is really easy to re wick, and it seems to last really well. No dry hits so far. I just like to try everything. How about I send you a little and you can try it? I have enough to last us both (and 700 of our closest friends) about ten lifetimes. I'll just stick some in an envelope with a stamp on it. Anybody else out there who wants a little to try.....PM me. I'm serious. No need for all of us to buy 500 feet.

I boiled about a foot of CC for about 5 mins on a gentle boil. It didn't melt or turn into a mess. It actually did the opposite, it sort of turned into a flat nearly solid piece - like a wide shoelace.

I removed it, and rolled it up like a fruit roll up and squeezed out the water. Then I took a binder clip and hung it in front of a desk fan. It was completely dry in about an hour. Back to a fibrous state only more tight.

It reminds me of a long rope of KGD - about the same thickness as 1/2 of a pad.

The perfect media for this pilgrim.
