Rayon (CelluCotton Box# 44043) - The kind Phil Bsuardo used in the video.

So far, I'm really loving it. Never realized just how damn good Shadow from HHV really is. Noticing all the flavors in this juice because of the Rayon, and definitely notice a little more TH. I did have a heck of a time calculating the amount to use. At first, I kept getting a lot of "popping" on the first two builds. Tasted great though, but noticed I had underestimated how much Rayon, and it popped like July 4th. This CelluCotton is NOT like using CVS Sterile Rolled Cotton in the sense that you can roll the wick loose, and it expands. Rayon doesn't expand that much, and you can't really roll it into a thick wick. I actually think it shrank a little when fully saturated with juice.

Totally surprised by the first two builds. Went back at it though, and rewicked coil #3. This time, I used a little more Rayon to avoid the 'popping'. Will be testing the Wicking of it all day, and will get back with final results late tonight, or tomorrow.

So far, I'm getting outstanding flavor, taste, TH, vapor, and Nicotine hit. LOVING the Rayon build!!
This stuff hits harder than Mike Tyson back in the day - when he wasn't a sissified weirdo.

My Coil = Kanthal 30g - 8/9wraps on 5/64 drill bit @ 2.0 ohm / 4.0v

Above is copied and pasted from another thread. More appropriate here.

After several hours of using CelluCotton, I'm having very positive experiences. Flavor is much better than expected. Have to be careful though because the TH is stronger. It WICKS much better than CVS Serile cotton. I don't have the dark, burnt ring underneath the coil as I always did with CVS cotton. So far; so good. :vapor:

I saw a gotsmok advertisement for "cotton bacon"? Saying it's a cleaner cotton. Does anyone have experience with this.. I'm going to try rayon again, but I like cotton more.

I figured out what I taste/feel using rayon..it's like when I used silica, but A LOT stronger.

I wouldn't mess with 'Cotton Bacon'. Most of us think it's repackaged and renamed Koh Gen Do Cotton, or perhaps CVS Sterile Rolled Cotton. Good Marketing scheme by the folks selling it.

I'm really liking the CelluCotton. Overall performance is much better than regular Organic Cotton, and better than the CVS Sterile Rolled Cotton. I've just been using it today, and loving it. I did order some KDG on Monday, and it will be here Saturday.

For me the only advantage of rayon (which is a big one) is that it doesn't gunk the coils and stays cleaner longer then cotton. As for flavor, not difference to a good cotton build. Been using rayon in some of my builds for a few weeks and definitely notice how clean the wicks and coils look compared to cotton but flavor? No real difference imo in my bottom coil tanks. Still haven't tried the rayon in a dripper because I don't drip that much, but maybe this is where the incredible difference in flavor is compared to cotton.

Don't think you'll be disappointed in using it in a dripper. I'm using it in a IGO-L (only one of the IGO series I'll use). It's wicking and tasting really good. Much better than regular cotton.

I've rewicked all the tanks I have with rayon, except my T3S's, which I pretty much retired when I got my kayfuns. But I've been thinking of getting them setup with good coils and rayon, so I can have a variety of diff juices handy for vaping. Anyone tried rayon in a T3S yet?

Bump! Hopefully, this thread will be about CelluCotton (Rayon) experiences and recommendations.

Currently doing more experiments with KGD and CelluCotton. The initial vapes with each one on fresh builds (if wicked correctly) is outstanding.

My setup using two IGO-L drippers :: Kanthal 30g; 5/64 drill bit; 9 wraps for 2.0ohms @ 3.8v.

I still get a feeling.. almost taste but not really.. I don't know. I'll use it for the gunky and dark liquids.. but I still get great results with rolled cotton.

All you crazy kids with your crystal and cellulose fiber wicks..
Us crazy kids???? :?: You can always go to the rolled cotton area.

I just received a sample of Cellucotton from a friend in the Vapourart forum. I just rewicked my Heron with it, and i must say I am VERY impressed! It wicks super efficiently, flavor is spot on, and I feel like the TH is enhanced. I really can't find any faults with it to be honest....seems like good stuff!! :)

My brother has been using CelluCotton for 3 days now. He's using 'Golden Reserve' which is 100% VG juice from Johnson Creek. I joke with him about that juice being a coil killer, but so far... he's very inspired about how CC wicks. He says he's getting the best flavor and taste he's ever gotten before, and says CelluCotton beats anything he's used (Silica, Ekowool, #500 SS Mesh, CVS Serile rolled Cotton, and even KGD). So apparently, wicking 100% VG juice is NO issue with CelluCotton.

Yeah I have a box of KGD too, and I think the Cellucotton has it beat for wicking efficiency and TH. I mean don't get me wrong, KGD is AWESOME stuff, but this cellucotton is really something special....

You know the thing that really gets me... when you start talking to someone about using rayon, and they start blathering on and on and on about organic cotton... how it's just a matter of getting the "right amount"... well DUH! Why in the hell do they think I love rayon so much! Because it's so much LESS finicky about that magical "right amount"! I tried organic cotton, and yeah, it works great in a kayfun, or probably some of the other rebuildables too... it was ok in my caterpillar... but in the smaller tanks? Never could get anything but burnt taste from those, using cotton of any kind. And even in my kayfun nano, with cotton... burnt taste! But with rayon, even in the small tanks (Mini PT II, Aro Pyrex, etc), even in the nano... just great taste and none of this abracadabra you gotta get the "right amount" crap! It just WORKS!

Ok rant off. :D

Besides the fact that it works well, it is cheap, easy to work with, controls flooding in small coils IME, and gives a wet vape. The wet vape may not be to your liking. You really taste the juice and get the nic except what's in the big cloud you exhale. I think this is the cause of some people complaining of throat irritation. More juice and nic than they are used to.

What is your build?

My build = Kanthal 30g; 9 wraps on 5/16 drill bit for 2.0ohm @ 3.8volts.
Device = Two IGO-L single coil Dripper
Juice = 50/50 Shadow from HHV

I do find CC different than using Cotton. In previous builds and observations with CelluCotton, I've noticed lots of 'popping' during fire up. After many hits... I take the top cap off, and notice a small gap between the CC and Coil. IF there is not enough material to completely fill the Coil, you'll get this popping. If it's not corrected, you'll get harsh, dry hits.

Cotton is different. As long as you can pull the cotton through the coil with no resistance, it will expand and swell into the coil when saturated with juice. Cellucotton doesn't appear to expand... instead, it appears to actually shrink (causing the gap in the coil). So in essence, yes... you do have to experiment more with CelluCotton and use the "right amount" to avoid the coil gap and popping.

Endurance is much better CelluCotton. I've vaped the coil almost bone dry, and still don't get a harsh, burnt taste I get with CVS Cotton, and even KGD Cotton. When I add juice to the dripper, I immediately get fresh flavor and a great taste. I also don't notice branding underneath the coil with CelluCotton. CelluCotton seems to withstand the high heat from coils much better than Cotton (CVS Rolled and KGD) does.
