But on the same note as your post, I gotta throw it out there that we're talking about a nation of manufacturers who released thousands of bottles of toothpaste and children's toys that contained lead in them...
Anyone know if it's economically viable or even possible to have SS sent out and tested to determine its lead content? I've heard a few rumors of other high end mods out there supposedly contain lead, and I'd like to verify the validity of those claims (wont say what mods, for all I know it's untrue).

I quit cigs because I knew the damage I was doing to my body. I don't use the knock-offs, at least in the atomizer chamber, because China lies about their base metals and impurities. No point leaving one habit that was killing me, for another doing the same thing without my knowledge. So, I am not some ethical preacher, or trying to take moral high ground, rather I am spending up for quality control from a vendor willing to share his production standards with me. The juice and the atomizer chamber are the most important part, (from a health concern), so I use the real DiD, SS mesh (no more silica), and Virgin Vapor Juice, Because of their willingness to disclose their production methods and contents.

Agreed, I dont trust China with having human or animal interests at the forefront:
considering China's long legacy food problems, including the 2008 melamine-tainted milk incident where roughly 300,000 people were injured and at least six infants died as a result of being poisoned by the toxic chemical Other tainted food from China has included melamine-tainted pet foods, lead-tainted children's cups, and even another fake rice case where a Chinese company added synthetic flavorings to ordinary rice to trick people into thinking it was the more expensive "Wuchang" variety
