China wants to make money, and has demonstrated that it is of the utmost importance to them. No matter what steps they take to make it appear they're protecting their own citizenry, they will encourage and facilitate sales to other countries. Until that point at which it threatens other means of making money from those countries- i.e, we threaten them with more tariffs, sanctions, etc., because of it.

In the US, I know we have time as it relates to sales to here.

Hint: Anyone notice where almost all the opioids here are coming from, and how this happens? They're turning a blind eye to a massive cash cow. vaping exports aren't even a blip on their radar yet.

I gotta hit the Halloween sales too. I got a sister who is a big time goth and literally THE best time to shop for her is the day after Halloween. She particularly likes stuff with skulls on it.
Actually Halloween is "all hallows day" and today (Nov 1) is "all saints day"... my wife's birthday!

I've come to that conclusion as well at least for now. My understanding is that China is not e-cigarette friendly from the beginning they have I believe the largest percentage of smokers in the world and if I'm correct in this they have more to lose from people switching to e-cigarettes than anyone else however they have more to gain from people producing products to sell to other countries. Who knows I'm definitely not an expert on China but that's the impression I get if anyone has any other information please let me know because I don't want to speak falsely of a country and sound like a .....
My understanding is China’s legal enforcement system is.. unusual. They have 3 types of cities and then there is the rest of the country, and they are not treated equally law wise. Tier 1 cities have a lot of police and very strict laws that vary somewhat from city to city. For instance laws about motorcycles vary quite widely. One city actually has a Harley club, but the only place in the entire country those things may be ridden is that one city.

tier 2 cities have a different set of laws and they aren’t enforced as strictly. Less on the whole is allowed though.

tier 3 cities are like tier 2 but moreso.

then there is the interior: again totally different. There is almost no legal enforcement in the interior. Last I heard there were no restrictions on e-cigarettes there at all. If you could teleport one of those harleys to the interior it might be possible to ride it. The problem though is A it’s not possible, and B no one in the interior has seen a motorcycle and you would cause a massive sensation wherever you went, which would cause interest from what very little law enforcement there is.

Bomb, get her a crystal scull... supposed to have special powers.
It’s an option. She’s already got a couple of em though. The problem I am having is most of the stuff available is chatchka and clothes. I dare not buy my sister clothes. My other sister might attempt it but for me such things are taboo. That leaves chatchka, but she’s already got a ton of it. Skull throw pillows and gothic looking bottles and ossuary artwork. Little figurines, just tons. I don’t want to weigh down her life.

Go to a resale shop look for victorian styled jewlery. Think to yourself would lily munster or morticia adams wear this? I have found some gorgeous filagree pieces for under $10 that way.

Good idea. Can’t get her jewelry either though. She used to be a jewler.

Get her a bird of some sort. Maybe an owl. Birds are very light because they have to fly.

Don't "weigh her down" with like a birdcage or seed or newspaper or anything. In fact, perhaps, a falcon attached to a falconer's glove, and you just put the falcon on her arm, drop the mike and walk away, saying nothing.

I am kidding mostly. That's like a hard demographic to shop for.

Tattoo coupon?

a (post) halloween sale on halloween items... is there such a thing as a halloween store or some stores offer it on a subset of their stuff? like what store? i might want to getta a couple of gifts too_ i know goofs not goths would enjoy
Several. The dedicated Halloween stores are pop ups like Christmas stores. Those are where the really really heavy sales are. They mostly sell Halloween costumes and party supplies though. Great places to get that chatchka I was talking about.

Get her one of those full size skeletons like wot medical students use. Make the birthday surprise complete by getting up early and putting the skeleton in bed beside her. Dressed in your pyjamas.

An anotomically correct would be super. The problem is the halloween decoration stuff isn’t Anatomically correct. She also was trained as a a forensic archeologist. The real ones cost thousands. Even the plastic models.

We had one in HS and we loved it.

I got to draw one in college. It was the actual skeleton of a former student that got old, died, and willed her skeleton to the school. She died a very old lady. Lots of osteoporosis. I forget what her name was. It was a long time ago. The skeleton still carried her name though. She was the most reliable model in life drawing class.

I knew a guy who dug up a grave and nicked the skull. He had it above the fire place for a while but it started to get to him. He ended up a bit mental, claiming he found a cloven hoof print on the carpet and all sorts of weird stuff. He ended up putting the skull back in the grave so he could get a decent nights sleep.

I can see how it would hard to buy presents for her. Maybe choose something from a hobby or interest she would like to get into, but hasn't done yet?

I am now thinking you should go gravedigging and give her someone's skull. She might LIKE the whole cloven hoof business.

Gravedigging is still kinda big business in some places I mean med students need cadavers and whatnot.

I am definitely donating my BRAIN to science cuz it's interesting, but like, IDK you do that you may as well go the whole hog.

If I end up in a medical student lab, I hope they name me "Lana" there was a big argument between my parents my dad want to name me that, but when I was born I was super fugly, with tufts of RED hair (it fell out, then went black, then when SUPER blonde for a while.) But, I was the kind of ugly that when they held me up to like show me of to my parents, OTHER parents LAUGHED. My dad got embarrassed and gestured the nurse to put me down, but my mom said she loved me despite my ugliness, and like, she got her way for the name because it was a name for a "blue eyed blonde bombshell." (Per my dad.)

THEY BOTH ADMIT THIS STORY IS TRUE. WTH???

Anyway I was like, "Well mom, you mighta loved me when I was an ugly baby but I bet that was not true at ALL times. I just told my dad he was a tool.

So, Lana it is.
