JUST AN FYI:

I know all too well that the "CC" that people have gotten from "Sally's" is extreamly absorbent and holds on to liquids very well, especially since that is what it was made to do and to keep toxic/harmful chemicals from dripping down hairlines and into peoples eyes  - So Everyone PLEASE BE CAREFUL ! ! ! ::rolleyes:

Just Sayin' . . .

I let myself fall behind and finally got caught up. We have been having such hot muggy weather the last few days, yuck! We did have a beautiful display of multi branching lightning Tuesday night, Holy Toledo, I've never seen anything like it before. Each strike lasted so long, I found myself counting. I got up to 6 Mississippi on the longest, it was awesome/scary! It went on for hours so I didn't get much sleep, but it was worth it. Mac, my dog, was not as impressed, lol.

Cindy! Thank you! I got the rayon today, I'm planning to give it a shot tonight. My plan is to start with an old 808 T3s, and maybe my old R-tank. They seem to be the easiest to work with. I am not very experienced at rebuilding, but I can switch out a wick like a pro, lol. I'm also thinking about trying it out on a top coil clearo, I wonder if it will hold up for longer wicks. Can't hurt to try, right? I have SO MUCH to play with, it was like getting a little pillow in the mail! Thanks again! :)

I will try to keep up with all of you, I love following along, and even if I don't say very much, I keep you all in my heart and mind for whatever is going on. That and you make me smile.... a lot!

You're welcome, Terry & Q. Man, USPS was fast! The lady asked me at the post office, "T-shirts?" I said "no, it's a giant wad of cotton!" (didn't wanna have to explain rayon)

Terry, I just took the bottle of juice that I had and added more PG & VG - both the flavor and nic smacked me so hard in the face that they made me nauseous. Especially the sucralose, so watch out for that when you mix. But not so much that I'd have to go from 18 to 6 (I think I went from like 4 to 3 or less), so I think you'll like the beauty coil a little better.

Q, I rebuilt one of my Vision VTs (top coil) and it wicks wonderfully. I went a little longer and have the tails draped around the bottom, but I probably didn't need to.

And you know, the big wads that I sent you guys hardly put a dent in the box! And I'm only using like 1 1/2" a week! (I like lots of twisting and tugging room, and what the heck, I have so much)

Penny is all clipped. I went to the barn, bathed her, then started clipping her. At one point, the clipper blade seemed dull, so I decided to change it. I got the old one out, but I couldn't get the new one in. Luckily, Desiree, one of the other boarders, was there, and she got it in for me. Penny was good for the clipping, even though it took a while and she had to stand there quietly, so since it's easier to use 2 hands, I decided to cross tie her. That worked well till the others were saddling up the horses to ride outside, and something scared Flame, and he came charging into the barn. The clippers went flying, and I was afraid he'd run into the cross ties and upset Penny, so I grabbed him. Someone came and took him out again, but the blade that was in the clippers was broken. I'm glad the clippers weren't harmed. Luckily, I bought lots of blades and had another, and this time, I removed the broken one and put in a new one. The rest went uneventfully, but I was getting tired of doing it, though I was so close to done, I didn't want to quit. Desiree came back into the barn and offered to finish up for me, so she did the rest. That was mainly the 4 legs and belly and touching up the body. It was very nice of Desiree to help me. I told her I'd like to ride with her whenever she's able, and she said she'd get my phone number and call me if she's interested. I hope she does. We rode together once when the whole group went, and it was fun. I clipped Penny's back, so I want to wait till the hair grows in before I put a saddle on her so it's not all prickly under it, so I don't know how long that'll take. The barn owner and Desiree thought about a week.

Sounds like it went pretty smoothly, SandySu.

Baking a cherry cobbler. Finished up the first coat of paint and have about half a gallon left so I will have to purchase one more gallon when I go to town. That is a lot of fence!!!!!! The first coat always takes the most effort and paint so hopefully it will go pretty quickly next week when I try to finish this project!

I am relieved that you don't want to finish it tomorrow. Not saying you would have, but............

I would have finished it today but I have a house to clean. I probably won't go to town to buy paint until Monday, anyway:)

Love the tulip, SandySu.

Mostly, I need to get outta here and clean a house today.

Looks like one of my sour cherry trees is just about ready to pick. The other one is not ready yet.

It was pretty warm here yesterday at 92 degrees. The new shade cover was a real treat. I sat in a chair and drank my coffee and it wasn't too hot. I watched the sparrows feeding their babies and little birds flitting through the backyard. The water feature on the pond was a delight to listen to. Eventually, I went into the air conditioned house to cool off.

I am sorry to hear you are having troubles on the house you want, Terry.

We really thought we weren't going to get this house. The people that owned it wouldn't get back to us in a timely fashion. The real estate lady gave us bad advice by telling us we should put a teensey weensey good faith deposit on file. The people thought we couldn't afford to buy the house. It was a mess. We only found out that escrow had officially closed on the house and we could have the keys and such after an extra day of waiting and staying in a motel room for one night. Good golly!

Lizzie, maybe do some light scuff-sanding before the second coat. I usually try to those within 24 hours - after that, you might run into problems with adhesion (bubbles)...just in case you need to buy sandpaper too. :)

Look what happened in Ithaca this afternoon! http://www.ithacajournal.com/articl...trailer-crashes-into-Simeon-s-downtown-Ithaca

This is just at the corner of the restaurant where Bill works, owned by the parents of the kids I tutor. Bill parks his car around back, but they had the roads closed and wouldn't let him drive out of the parking lot, so I had to drive down and pick him up. They closed the restaurant, so Bill gets the evening off. He is very shaken up by the accident, even though he didn't witness it. The building looks totaled. See the photos in the article. And the poor people who had apartments above! I bet they won't be allowed in to get clothes or pets or whatever, and will have to find a place to stay with only the clothes on their backs -- if they weren't home at the time. Can you imagine if they were home? That might be who some of the injured people were, though it's a busy corner, and some were probably pedestrians.

Wow, what a mess. I wonder if they can get the truck & trailer out without bring down the building. I feel sorry for those people that live upstairs. :( It's a wonder more people weren't killed.

The accident just happened a few hours ago, so I don't know much more than the article on the Internet. They wouldn't let anyone in the Chinese restaurant out the front door, so Bill didn't see more than a peek down the street from the restaurant's front window. I'll keep you updated. The Chinese restaurant is across the street and a few doors down, in the middle of the block the accident was at the corner of.
