Sitting down, facing forward.
It's a regular, old, yellow squash. Nothing special. We have lots of bunny wabbts around here. The first year we did a garden we put a standard "horse fence" around it with a 2x4 grid. The wabbits can go through that like it's not there. This year, I added chicken wire two feet high all the way around and now they can't get in at all. I don't know what to do about the ground hogs though, they can climb well, other than a .22 or let Bo have some fun.

I say let Bo have some fun. Depending on where you live, firing a gun may be illegal there if its too close to other residences.

A pellet rifle is nice and quiet and quite effective out to about 50 yards.

I not saying I would but I would be tempted to shoot that darn rabbit if I could find him.

We haven't had many rabbits get through our 2x4 fencing on the perimeter of the yard but the new dogs keep digging holes near the fence so they can catch the rabbits on the outside. The dogs never get out of the yard but I am going to have to be more diligent about walking around with a shovel and filling those darn holes.

ACCEPTED Terry's offer!!!!

Now we do have another hurdle, but I'm confident. She still has to have her proposal accepted by an assistance program that will be involved, but I "think" that the lender will handle that whole thing. The lender is familiar with the program and knows how it works. She'll let us know how we need to proceed.

Congratulations, Terry. Enjoy your new home and don't let the fact that Raven will be your neighbor, bother you.

Thanks Jerry but I don't have the house yet but it looks promising. Rave had to post for me because I can't post graphics on my iPad. I feel just like that screaming lady and have butterflies as big as jumbo jets. :D

Here's a story I never heard about until yesterday, listening to the radio in the car as I drove home. Fascinating! Did Stanislav Petrov Really Save The World?

Here's the radio program that mentioned it. End of Days : NPR
Thrilling story. going by gut often works. One of the first post-apocalyptic novels I ever read has something like this as the historical background, except it was a volcanic event that triggered it. I still enjoy that genre.

Congratulations to the soon-to-be Indiananians. Must feel great to see an end to an inhospitable living situation.
