2 tornados touched down near a friend of mine's town in Nebraska today. She is ok but her house not so much. She has 2 big trees leaning on each end. Could have been worse though. She's taking it pretty good. I think I need a storm shelter.

A quick note...Rave is up to her ears in legalese for her son's property and has to focus all her attention on getting that done this week so she probably won't be around much if at all. I emailed her about her party on Weds so hopefully she'll drop in. I'm sure she will.

Wow! Such violent weather! It makes the hard rain we get around here look absolutely benign. I'm really glad I don't live in tornado country.

That's true, Cindy, but tornadoes don't happen only in Kansas. There could be an Indiana Oz and maybe someday, a San Francisco Oz.

I'm drinking my coffee and thinking about how much I don't want to get anything done!!!!! However, since we have a BBQ in only five days, I must accomplish some of my goals.
At least the weather is supposed to be better than the weather people were originally saying for Sunday. Only 90 degrees instead of almost one hundred. Let's hope that remains true!!!!!

It seems that someone has a party thread goin' on for me.
A little birdie clued me in, but I promise I won't peek until tomorrow morning. It's killin' me though!!
One legal hurdle crossed. I got the Quit Claim Deeds made out for the three plots of land that I'm giving my son. They are all adjoining. I had to make out two versions of each because I'm not at all sure whether or not the original version that I created will pass muster. The legal description has changed since I had the land replatted. Dunno which description they want since the taxation won't change. I also got everything together to take my late husband's name off of all of the land. That'll have to be done before I file the Quit Claim Deeds, but I don't think it'll be any problem. *knock on wood* Now all I have to do is have a working vehicle so that I can get to the courthouse to file the papers.
Next up is the Trust. I had a free consultation with a trust lawyer awhile ago, and he made the mistake of telling me that "it's impossible for a layman to create their own trust properly". Hmmph!
He doesn't know me. Then he told me that he could do it all for $5,000!
I'm reluctant to admit it, but I still haven't messed with the rayon that Cindy sent me. Truth be told, I'm hoping I can get Terry to show me an easy way. I'm fairly inept manually. I have lots of old equipment that I've stashed away that could be recoiled ...
