Terry - how's it going with the house and the move?

Cindycated - Are you still working on your home improvement?

Celtic - Are you making progress on your yard?

We had an nice easy weekend of harvesting and freezing. I made four bags of French fries. Hope they are good to eat this winter. This will be my first time of making French fries for the freezer. We tried to do as little as possible! Hubby did get the new battery holder shelf thingey into his 78 Chevy four wheeler. The old one was corroded into two pieces. I'm already working on some veggie garden clean up. I can't believe the garden is already winding down.

Nice and cool overnight at 52 degrees but still supposed to be 92 today. The good weather is still here:)

Hey lizzie, the house is coming along slowly. There have been some setbacks and more unexpected out of pocket expense's but we are getting near the end. We aren't going to make the 9/5 closing date. Still don't know when that will be. I'm packed except for the last minutes stuff and am working on cleaning the trailer. It's really hard to get motivated to do that. :( Thanks for asking. :)

I know moving is a total pain in the ..., but sounds like things are moving along. :)

Thanks, Lizzie. I'd be all done if I could just settle on a color for the doors and didn't have to contend with 4 grown up boys. Nicks on every corner. And they shed so much hair! :?: Got the hallway trim to a perfect high-gloss white, after 5 coats (to smooth it out and build up the gloss). On the final coat, one of them got a haircut, and just from walking through, my baseboards and door jambs ended up with a 5 o'clock shadow. :grr:

Hey Everyone,

I hope that y'all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Maybe even got to take advantage of all of those Labor Day Sales. My phone was notifying me of those so frequently that I finally made it go silent. Enough is enough! It sounds as if you folks have kept busy and productive. I was not. A horizontal position was called for until I started coming back to life on Sunday. It's seems like I'm pretty much over it now. Sure hope so. It's seems such a waste of a weekend to do nothing but watch movies.

Sooo ... today I did something rather radical. I dunno why. I guess it's cuz one of the meds I take is making my hair look as if I'd stuck my finger in a light socket. I Googled and found a picture of my style before the ruthless assault on my hair. Then I priced out perms. $115 for a perm?!?!? :censored: I don't think so! Soooo ... as per my usual m.o., I decided to do it myself having never undertaken such a delicate procedure. I researched and found what should have been the right size perm rollers to return me to my sleek black waves. But ............ it didn't turn out that way. 8-o It's still very wet, but it's entirely possible that I'm now sporting a fro (a long one) like I wore in 1983. What the heck was I thinking?!

 Anyhow - it's good to be back. :)

Welll, then I guess it didn't happen! Now way I'm puttin' pics up. Haven't even had a chance to figure out what to do with this mess. In fact, I've not even brushed it yet. And ..... I don't know if I have the courage! It's SCARY!

I was going for this, which is what my hair looked like before the meds screwed it up.

But it's more like this!! 8-o

or even this. Only longer.

I spent quite a bit of my weekend watching LOST on Netflix to get my mind off of things. Damn that show is addictive. There should be a warning label before the first show. And Sawyer....OMG what can I say. :hubba:

Not my type. Too much of a bad boy. And, I'm old enough to be his mother ...

Too bad you live in Indiana Rave. My mom would've given you a beautiful perm. She has a NY state hair dressing license. She does beautiful work. She always permed my neighbor's hair. All she would've charged you was the price for the chemicals 'n stuff. (unless you brought your own):)

We are taking a break from yardwork as we keep getting scattered showers and thunderstorms.:banana::D (I love those random showers) Yesterday we got some wicked lightening. It struck somewhere in the woods close to the house.8-o

Sorry, rave, but I LIKE the other two that you 'ed at. Plus it relaxes over time, so you'll probably end up with the first one anyway. :thumb:
So did you use your rayon to catch the drips?

My weekend TV was Sleepy Hollow. I never watch primetime TV, so when I come across a show that catches my fancy, it's all new to me, and I end up watching a whole season in one sitting.
