Actually, I'm pretty darned happy with the hair this morning. When I woke up, it looked as if it had been just styled! I'm not gonna even touch it because I don't want for it to ever change.
Isn't it nice to have a 'do that you don't have to "do"? Glad you are pleased with the results.

I've started garden clean up by feeding cuke and watermelon vines to the goats. They also eat the sunflower plants so I am cutting one down per meal and feeding them to the goats. They also like poplar leaves so I am pruning some of the trees back and feeding those to the goats. The big clumps of rice grass that are in the garden aisles also is being pulled out a few clumps at a time and the goats like to eat those, too..... Then the plant goes to the goats.... The goats love those:)
Nice to have your own garden clean-up team. Wouldn't it be better to fence the garden in and let them pasture in there until they get it cleaned up? Would be much easier. LOL!

I let my certificate lapse. Just too much hassle with too many kids talking at once to continue substitute teaching. Instead of that, I am home-schooling a fourth grader. First session today. Three hours a day, four days a week. I feel like I am torturing him to get any work out of him, but I'm sure it will get easier as time goes on.

Feeling sort of bummed today, vaping my amped-up nic. Skipped quilting club because I wanted to get to Mass-- good medicine. I'll be visiting the quilters closet to pick up stuff and drop off stuff. My calendar for this month looks pretty full. Tuesdays I will be working a different assignment at VA. I also have four days babysitting coming up-- we had to move that around a bit because of the VA assignment, but not much of a problem since she works there, too.

Glad you like your hair today:)

Well, I'll still have work to do in the garden for another month. I've started garden clean up by feeding cuke and watermelon vines to the goats. They also eat the sunflower plants so I am cutting one down per meal and feeding them to the goats. They also like poplar leaves so I am pruning some of the trees back and feeding those to the goats. The big clumps of rice grass that are in the garden aisles also is being pulled out a few clumps at a time and the goats like to eat those, too. The lettuce has gone to seed and the I cute the seed tops off and leave them in the garden. Then the plant goes to the goats.

All of the corn stalks are gone. The goats love those:)

There are about 6 or 8 large watermelons out there waiting to be eaten. We are also still getting cantaloupes, haogen melons and such. The Lilly crenshaws are a slice of heaven on earth. I just picked three and it looks like we will get a few more.

I'm still getting Armenian cukes and tomatoes [two kinds].

I just froze 5 more bags of baby summer squash. Love the baby summer squashes!

I'm picking purple beans and wax beans today but they are definitely almost done.

Potatoes are still waiting to be stored and onions, too. It's a little hot to pull those items yet.

We have tons of butternut, acorn, kabashi and golden hubbard winter squashes out there. I think we are supposed to wait for a frost to pull those.

It looks like we won't be getting a frost for the next two weeks. That means plenty of eating left.

Holy cow, Lizzie - That's still a lot of stuff remaining. 8-o Good thing you have four-legged garbage disposals! :)

"It's bacon!" Too funny Cindycated.

Colonial style. What time period was the house built in?

OMG, I found the cup hooks. I started thinking about where I last used the drill for a project. Then, I went in there to look. Yep, on the storage shelf in the far bathroom. Strangely, the Fiskars pruning shears I have been wondering about......... "What happened to those new pruning shears? Did they fall out of my pocket somewhere in the yard? I have to keep my eye out for those." .....anyway, strangely enough, the pruning shears were up there, too. I must have been multi-tasking.

I love finding stuff that's gone missing. Congratulations! I never have found a missing box of 9mm shells.

Definitely a big ouch.

I just got new tires for the Toy 4 runner and Hubby needs tires on his little Honda Fit. At least those are little tires.

The really bad news is that the Honda is making a horrible squealing noise when the car is in motion. I mean really bad. Hubby drove it today despite the noise. I told him not too!!!!! He made it to work but I have a feeling we will end up at the dealership spending hundreds of dollars to repair it. Although, Hubby is still holding out hope that he can repair whatever it is himself. We shall see.

Hubby thinks it might be a wheel bearing.

Oh man. My sympathies for both you and Q for having to buy new sets of tires. And Lizzie, I can also sympathize for the possible new wheel bearings. Over the summer, my poor Jeepers has had four new wheel bearings put on, four new brake sets, all brake sensors, and a tie rod. All by my BF. I was also informed last night that he bought new tires for all the way around. Apparently he thinks that my current tires are unsafe. I wouldn't accept them until he agreed to NOT get me a Christmas present this year. There's still that matter of the wiring harness to deal with, but he thinks that he has a workaround that he's used before. He made this decision after studying the Chilton's manual that he got for my car. We'll see how that works. So far, he seems to be able to fix darn near anything. It's just a matter of having the time and non-rainy weather to work on it. I don't have a sheltered area.

Awww - c'mon Wuzz. I need someone to share the pain. Truth be told: I always loved that theme. But - not enough to have it stuck in my head non-stop.

Maybe that has something to do with my vague unhappiness. This homeschooling job has been in the works for almost a year now, and finally started-----be nice to share it.

So inbetween thunderstorms I went to the lake for a little swim time. I was just there a week and a half ago but when i came back it was filthy! Here is a quote from my FB.

If a "young" family is going to a secluded spot at the lake they should clean up after themselves. I went to the Lake today and found; A mattress in the woods, his and hers razors, feminine hygiene products (EW!), Baby diapers, beer bottles, cigarette packages, and a dead fish. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES PEOPLE!!!!!

Another very important thing.... IF YOU HAVE A BABY, DON'T TAKE IT TO A LAKE KNOWN TO HAVE E-COLI AND ALLIGATORS!!!! IT'S JUST STUPID!

Yes someone recently pulled a 5 foot alligator from our lake.

Ugh I'm no angel but seriously could people just take a little time to clean up after themselves when they leave? I am so disgusted.... my dog rolled in the dead fish (well technically where it was, Fiance threw it in the woods)

    :-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x <<< can ya tell I'm slightly peeved?
