I see your lips moving, but all I hear is Charlie Brown adults -- whaw-whawwhaw-whaw. ;) Where is a positive pin? The thing on the side you screw onto the batt with the hole in it?
I know how to lift the connector on the old regular bats, but can't get a grasp on the X2's.

Oh, and no longer dinged on insurance because I choose to tell my truth, not theirs. I am not a smoker, regardless of what they say. So there.

:lol: If you look up into the side of the base that screws onto the batt, there's a little pin in the middle that protrudes. You could try wiggling that pin out a hair with tweezers or something. But since it's you're only base ATM, might be safer to wiggle out the pins on the X2s. Just poke through the airholes on the sides where the threads are until the center pin starts moving (I use a T-pin from my old cubicle). Then you can kinda jimmy it like a lever.

Good news about the insurance! They were robbing you blind before, and yes, you're not a smoker, so you shouldn't have to pay for that. It's not smoke!@?$ :grr:

On the other stuff, Aspire started making these heads for their clearos called BVC (bottom vertical coil) instead of BDC (bottom dual coil). If you plan to back up with 510 stuff, check it out. Draw's a lot better IMO, they don't gunk as fast, and batts last a little longer because they're single coil. ;) RBAs are the rebuildables that don't come with throwaway heads - you build your own coils on a deck. Evods were the janky Kanger clearos that I was using in my ghetto setup with an adapter and no beauty ring.

yeah, Truvia Baking Blend is what I use now. Not cheap, about $6 for a bag. I was using C&H sugar's version of the half/half baking blend, but now I can't find it in my stores.

Truvia blend is good! :p But right next to it is the bigger bag of generic sucralose for $3.98 (FoodsCo) that I always end up reaching for.

I had a Lizzie day. Went into town, got some stuff at wal-mart, went to Mass, loaded up three washing machines at the laundromat, went back to walmart for Rx and purple shampoo, loaded up driers, bought 10# apples for $5, got more groceries, retrieved laundry, went home, put laundry and groceries away, cooked supper, peeled 5# of apples, loaded dehydrator.

Yesterday and day before, I cooked three chickens in the crockpot, all in same juice, boned the chickens, put the meat into containers, then into the freezer. I put the broth in the refrigerator. Today I skimmed the fat, and covered the frozen chicken-meat with the broth. The little bit of broth I had left I put into some gumbo, which I haven't eaten yet. And I have 3.5 hours left to get some more work done.

Now my thumb is hurting again, so maybe I'll get some tea going, and get some more work done with book. I am at 80% done with this search for grammar errors, it is a beastly job, because they were such bad writers.

Oh-- and I put my summer clothes away, and got out my winter stuff.

0mg! Whew! What got into you? It's good, don't get me wrong, but it puts me to shame, even though I had a sort of busy day: I visited Penny and groomed her, came home for a shower, tutored, then went grocery shopping, came home and made dinner for Bill and me, and now Im just vegging out. Yes, Bill now gets Sundays off, unless there's some sort of emergency. That's happened since his diagnosis of high blood pressure.

The laundry needed to be done. I usually don't get groceries until after I have visited the food pantry for the month, to pick up odds n ends to go with what they gave me. The apples were an impulse thing-- or maybe my thumb hasn't been bothering me, so I thought I would give it a try. My wardrobe was falling apart and I got someone to fix it, so emptying the trunk (remember the trunk? :D) and refilling it was a reasonable thing to do.

Good morning, Voltpeeps,

Zero = I like it. You are getting 'er done.

Really nice photo of an aster, SandySu. Did I mention how much I liked your story of riding with the boy a few days ago?

We had a good weekend. The plywood is up for the horses. Hubby helped a friend with cut up his deer. The friend brought a load of wood including some nice lodge pole pine that will make so great kindling.

I finally got Nevada out and took him to the round pen. The trainer is coming on Thursday so it is time to start working with my little buddies again.

I got both horses into their halters. Then, I snapped a lead on Nevada. I confidently walked him out of the gate. We headed past the feed shed and over the driveway. He started getting just a bit out of hand so I stopped and out of the corner of my eye I see Wiseguy! What? Apparently, I was so busy leading Nevada confidently out of the pen that I forgot about closing the gate:)

I called Hubby to take over leading Nevada.

I then calmly walked by Wiseguy, who was munching a grass clump. I got the lead rope from by the pen. Of course, as I headed back to Wiseguy, he took off running. By then, Hubby had Nevada in the round pen and he had wisely left the gate open. Wiseguy got a quick mouthful of grass and then started thinking he wanted to be with his friend. He ran to the round pen. At first he couldn't find the gate but he ran around the side until he could get into the pen. Then, he started happily munching on grass with his buddy.

I walked up, closed the gate to the round pen and left the two of them grazing inside the pen while we went back to work.

Oops, at least we didn't end up wasting a bunch of time trying to catch the little monster.

I have a long day today. Two cleaning jobs. And I need to stop by the grocery store on the way home.

Good gracious! sounds like everyone has been busy in some way! Sending prayers and healing vibes for your kiddos, Evie! Also for your stress test!!

I have been having issues with my car. My battery was dying so I had a spare one (like new from the marina). For some reason the rich lake folk around here throw out things that are brand new!! Oh well, we bought one of the batteries that came from a boat it was almost brand freaking new. Got it for 20 bucks from the garbage people. Anyway we put it in my car and this bar that runs across the batt, holding it in, was grounding out the hot wire and shorting the batt!!! And all along we thought it was the alternator!! the alternator might still be going bad we just have to test it tomorrow when we go get groceries. Jeez I just hope it holds out till the first of the month so I can get a new alternator. I would buy a used one but no one around here has a used/ rebuilt Toyota Celica alternator. I guess that is what I get for having a dang city car in the country... I need me a little truck!

    Sitting down, facing forward.
Just remember that a boat battery is usually a so-called "deep cycle" battery. They are designed to be run down, significantly, before being recharged. An automotive battery is the exact opposite, sight discharges and frequent recharges. Both can put out enough power, but the life expectancy may not be as great using a marine battery in a car.

Well as long as my car is running with no side effects, the I think I will be alright. I can just get another batt from our garbage guy. All though I will keep what you said in mind for the future. :)

Yep, I'll never forget being in Wyoming and having the mechanic in nowheresville tell us he couldn't get parts for days because it was a Toyota. He made it sound like we were driving an exotic vehicle.

I always tell you about my horse, Penny, but I rarely mention my cat, Tom. Here's a recent photo of him to say good night.

Tom is elderly (I think he's 18), and he didn't handle last winter very well, and they predict another cold one, so I'm worried about him. He lost weight over the winter, I thought, though when I took him to the vet for spring shots, he weighed the same as last time. But he definitely looks more bony. The vet said it's muscle wasting. Maybe it was because Tom opted to stay indoors a lot last winter, or maybe he's just getting old and starting to look it. Anyway, over the summer, he became deaf. He always had a loud meow (I think he must be part Siamese, though he doesn't look it), but recently, it's louder than ever. I theorize that it's like deaf humans, who often shout because they don't know how loud they sound. And Tom has been demanding that we let him in and out of the house more often. One night, I counted. He woke me 4 times to open the door for him! That is getting old, and I wish he'd just use the litter box in the middle of the night, but he prefers to go outside unless the weather is really bad. It's like having an eternal infant that you hope learns to sleep through the night, but in Tom's case, it's probably going to get worse. This is depressing, but it's the price we pay for having animals who age faster than their humans.

Cindy! C'mere let me give you a big hug! I took apart the iClear, with the intent of replacing the coil with a new one and decided to try adjusting the center post/pin thing. Turns out you don't have to pull or wiggle it from the bottom up -- you can push it down from the top! Weeeeee! Now it works on the other batteries. So I'll just keep using this one, and replace the innards with the 2 placements I have, and when those are used up, then so should the juice I have. And that will probably be the end of my vaping career. 4 yrs is a pretty good run, but I'd like to be free of the habit. I think. Maybe. We'll see.

I emphasize with you Sandy. I also have an old cat (17 yrs) and he is wasting away like Tom. It's so hard to watch them grow old when it seems like just yesterday they were kittens. My Rowdy uses the litter box but he doesn't eat much so all I feel is skin and bones when I pet his back all the way to his rump. All we can do is love them and keep them comfortable until their quality of life is gone. I think Rowdy has a couple more years in him (if the trip isn't too hard on him) and I hope Tom does too. He's a beautiful cat.

Good luck, Star. You've been thinking about that for awhile. If that's really where you wanna go, I'm pulling for you! - she says as she's thoroughly enjoying her key lime pie vape - And don't be such a stranger. We're still here and you haven't quit yet!
