Terry, I'm glad to see you back here, even if you don't have any good news. I was just wondering how you have been doing. Hang out with us and talk about books and TV shows. It may distract you, even if just for moments.

Thanks Sandy but I've had a pretty bad week so I've been keeping to myself. I even told BF to stay away because I wasn't fit to be around. I talked to Rave yesterday for the first time in about 5 or 6 days so I'm feeling a little better. I still need to be alone though.

Oh good heavens. I come here for a cup of coffee and there isn't even any made. No one's here to talk with either. Wellll, shoot! Maybe I need to provide some virtual coffee as a conversation catalyst. :?:

Batten down the hatches Awsum and Jerry. You've got a nor'easter on the way. :(

Beautiful photo, Sandy. You have such an eye for these things and a an amazing talent capturing them.

I'm here, Rave. I think that storm will bypass us, though we're probably going to have strong wind and some rain today. We usually get the edge of what happens on the coast. But it's been rainy here forever, which is usual for our area, so it's just more of the same.

I did get to ride yesterday evening, though dark descended on us early. The horses were extra spooky, too. While they were still in the pasture, somebody lit up the distant woods with lots of bright lights. The boy and I couldn't figure out what it was, though it was obviously lit by people, not a fire. They were lit for about 10 or 15 minutes, and then the lights went out. I think it was the woods behind a house we could just barely see up on the hill, so it was probably those people lighting up the woods. Maybe that was what caused the horses to be extra spooky. Horses don't like anything unusual. A horse's motto is: "If you don't know what it is, it must be dangerous."

Sitting down, facing forward.
I'm about to make my second cup.

Yesterday was really nice, temps around 75 in the afternoon and a nice breeze. I was out there in shorts, working up a sweat, trying to get one of the stumps left over from my tree felling last spring. I think all that's left is the tap root, but I've got to do some more digging.

That 'noreaster is here. It's only about 55 outside with steady rain and a lot of wind. It's supposed to last through tomorrow. I guess I'll be out on leaf patrol over the weekend, AGAIN! At least it supposed to get warm again early next week.

The cover for the scooter i got from ebay got here just in time, we expect storms for the next days starting from today night or tomorrow..
vaping the protank at 6W, more efficient that way, doesn't consume much power, vapor is good, taste got better (seems it's sweeter)

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

I could use that cup of coffee, Raven!

That's weird about the lights, SandySu.

Tritium - Sounds like you got your scooter cover just in time!

Uncle - You are in the frequent flyers club!

Awsum - leave raking sounds like your chore of the week, at least for a couple more weeks.

The vet came by and gave the horses their shots. Nevada didn't like someone messing around with his .... so he jiggled around quite a bit. I finally got the lead rope right under his chin and started rubbing him vigorously on his shoulder and she got the shot into his .....

Wiseguy was no problem at all.

The vet checked their teeth. She felt them thoroughly, described their condition as she went and said they were about the right weight.

She then wanted a tour of the yard. We talked about plants and trees. Discussed what is toxic to horses and what isn't. She was very interested in the yard. She said she was impressed by the fact that we did it all ourselves. I sent her away with tow kinds of potatoes from our garden. She had mentioned that her husband liked potatoes. She was really nice and she didn't charge me much so I am a happy camper:)

This morning it was 36 degrees outside when I woke up. The house was 65 degrees. I made the first fire in the wood stove this morning. I can feel the toasty warmth penetrating the house already. They are claiming it will be 71 degrees for a high. I hope so since I am planning to get some painting done today just as soon as it warms up enough.

PS - to above post. The vet also checked the horses teeth and said that Nevada actually had several points but they weren't bad and that Wiseguy actually had less points even though he is the one that has a few grass wads he spits out.

Terry - Sorry you are still having trouble getting your house. That is really getting discouraging. Surely it has to happen soon. Once you sign your paperwork, we need to open the party room and do some partying!!!!!!

Tritium, many people have reported their liquids taste sweeter with rayon wicks. It seems to be a result of larger droplets and no taste/flavor being added by the wick that would mute the original flavor. I know I am able to taste the components of both of my DIY flavors much more "clearly" with rayon. That same effect, droplet sizes, can also increase nicotine "hit". At least the assumption is that is an increase in droplet size, no one has actually done a study to determine what does it.

What the heck is going on in Canada? I don't know if there is any link between what happened yesterday and what has just happened today. Yesterday was Montreal and today is Ottawa, but jeesh!

I think the thingy in my armpit is finally empty. :2cool: Another comment edited.

I have some things to do this afternoon. Otherwise, comparing 1830 edition with the current edition is 70% done. Then calculating the error rate per line for each chapter is next on the agenda. It is best to go with their admissions, in order to not be accused of bias.

I'm moving today.

I have to keep this short because I still have some last minute packing to do and I'll be disconnecting my modem soon so won't be able to post much on the road but I will let you all know when I get to Rave's. I'm so freaking glad this is finally over.
