Oh NO! A football game might be canceled, due to the stadium being ten feet deep in snow? Say it isn't so. What a sad state of affairs.

We haven't seen even a fake here, other than the normal flakes like me that is. It's been cold enough but we're just a little too far east to get lake effect snow, although it does happen once in a while.

We haven't had much snow, either, Awsum. Last Thursday was the most, with maybe an inch on the ground, but since then, it's been a slight dusting that quickly disappeared. It's supposed to get warmer this weekend, too.

It seems slow tonight, so I'll say good night early again. It seems I'm going to bed early and getting up at dawn (which isn't all that early now). Ever since the time change, I've been getting up earlier, which doesn't make any sense, does it? So, for my good-night photo, another snow scene. Maybe next week when it warms up, I'll post some spring flowers.

The football crisis is resolved...the game will be played in Detroit on Monday night.

It's cold and windy here again today, 24 when I got up and 34 now. Wish I could get motivated instead of just couch potatoing.

Good morning, everyone. We got a light dusting of snow overnight. Nothing too exciting. The roads are clear. It's cold & windy here, too, but the temperatures will rise over the next few days.

A bit chilly but very sunny here, if you stay out in the sun you can actually warm your self. A little windy too.

I got my el cheapo ice mould today. My other ice tray broke and i thought "why cubes?? I want round"

No weather news here except that it was eight degrees when I got up this morning. Brrrr!!! It's supposed to rain a ton from tonight until Monday night, so it'll be a weekend for indoor activities for me. I plan to be at my BF's for the weekend working on his place. That means I gotta pack. Funny that what I seem to pack the most of is my vaping gear. Other than that, I'm pretty self-contained. vape gear and coffee are the important items!

I saw six does and a buck this morning. Actually the three does that I watched on surveillance while it was still dark are probably the same three does that I watched from my kitchen window after it got light. It was funny because a buck approached them and the does headed for the hills! They didn't want any part of him. They are also probably the same three does that I posted photos of a coupla days ago. Anyhow, it was a great way to start the morning.

Well, it's ice, round shaped... That's it..
Actually less corners means slower melting and mixing/wattering whiskey or drinks but i just use it in coffee so i don't care about the shape.
If you double boil the water first you get crystal clear ice and makes it cool looking.

There are many shapes including a death star shaped ice thingy.

Yup, Raven, it's football. The Bills and Jets are in the same division as my Patriots, so it's an important game for them.

Awsum, the Lions will be here to play the Patriots on Sunday, so their stadium will be available for the Bills/Jets game. I wonder how many fans will show up?

I saw a possum in my woods last evening. He was watching a stray cat very closely. That makes 1 deer, a couple of squirels & a possum. No racoons yet.

Even without a practical reason, I think ice spheres are cool! I wonder why boiling makes the water clearer. Do you know, Trit?

Sandy, I think that it's because boiling gets out all of the impurities in the water.

I'm worried about Wiseguy. He isn't eating and he is backing up a lot and staying away from Nevada.

I felt his jaw and didn't feel any swelling.

I checked his feet, nothing obvious.

I am worried he might have colic.

I came in to call the vet and make another cup of coffee.

You can filter particles and minerals but that required equipment and other crap (distilled water works too)
If you boil, let it cool and then boil again it removes most of the air and the molecules stick together harder. You have to keep it covered to avoid dust too.

Yup, Terry, it's a jungle out there. I wonder how my gimpy deer is making out. There is a doe here that injured her front leg, last summer. I think that she might have broken it. I saw her a few days ago and she is still limping on three legs. It might not have healed well. I doubt if she will survive the winter.
