I'm taking a break from packin' up to spend the weekend in Terry's town right now. Think of the three of us tomorrow crawling around under her house. After a plumbing repair, we're going to seal up the holes and hopefully cut off the influx of cold air. Wish us luck!

It's weird. The hardest part of packing these days seems to be PV's and associated equipment. Go figure.

Dunno when I'll be able to make it home. In Terry's neck of the woods, they are supposed to get 3, maybe 4 inches of snow. Up where I live, they're talking up to 9". No fair! I could be detained in the South a bit past the weekend. Don't worry. I'm in good hands. ;)

I had a concealed carry permit for about five years, back in the 80's when it was a little easier to get one. I only pulled it once in a dangerous situation that quickly defused when the cop and I recognized each other. A few times I quietly let some people who were getting a little threatening know that it was there and it seemed to calm things down very quickly. I'm not sure that would be true today with all the idiots out there with illegal guns, but I would feel more comfortable if I could carry again here. Heck, if I carried on our property I'd probably get a visit by the police. Guess if I do that it would have to be concealed.

Arkansas Ozarks
Another Volt e-cig wonder story from the cold reaches of the remote Arkansas Ozarks. I recently ordered 2 new batteries for my stepdot so she could keep multiples in rotation. One if the batteries had issues and I called. The issue was handled immediately - no muss, no fuss. So glad I've found SmokelessImage.

Meanwhile, I got vapemail today consisting of a 2 slot charger, 130 ml of juice, a solid copper mod, a matching copper rda, and a set of batteries. Color me (temporarily) happy.

Temporary? Yes. I have another rda, another 2 mods, 3 more batteries, another charger, a case, 2 air flow collars, more wire and cotton, 1.2 Ohm OCC coils, and another 80+ ml juice still in transit.

Oh, and I'm also broke.

Twilight Zone
Good morning Volts, Watts, Ohms and Amps. Florida has "Sunshine State" on it's license plates. The way it's going this week they may need to change it. This crud was supposed to be gone by now but it looks like Tue before we get a break according to the weather reports. I wouldn't mind it if it would rain but we're getting nothing but occasional sprinkles. Oh well, at least it ain't snowin and the temps aren't all that bad. Supposed to be back in the 80s by tomorrow.

No more ice, at least for now. :) It's just colder than a witch's unmentionables . We have restaurants here that sell gator and stores as well. Our lake had a 5 footer this past summer! Boy if it wasn't so dang expensive I sure would like to try some. :p

Why, why, Celtic....It's not expensive at all.

moani', Voltatics.

Hey Tritium, remember that battery test you did with an 18650 versus a stack of 18350s? In another thread they were talking about stacked batteries and I gave them a link to the test results. Now, the big question is "do two parallel batteries outlast to single batteries/". From incidental observations it seems to be true and may be related to the reduced "sag" of each battery as the load hits.

We're in the mid teens again this morning, walking Bo on top of frozen crusted snow. It has been getting into the mid 30's during the day so there has been some more melting and now there's a clear path in the driveway almost to the street. Another couple of days and it might all be gone, just in time for the next storm, LOL.

I didn't realize that security was such a big deal for ECF. I had to change my password, again, today.

.
Depends on the power supply you use, on the efficiency etc. Higher voltages mean better efficiency on the power supply but the same capacity on the batteries, parallel connection doubles the capacity but leaves the psu with lower input voltages. More or less the same but it depends a lot on the power supply the cig has.

I don't remember exactly when, but I changed mine fairly recently after a prompt. It's pretty bad if hackers are trying to hack a social forum like this one.
Remember that the classies would be a target. Just take a look. Some high-dollar items pass through there.

The question came up because of the 50 watt iStick which uses parallel 18650s and the battery seems to be exceeding, by far, the life of two, single, 18650s. That's where the lower sag theory comes in. If you don't load the battery as high, in this case at a theoretical half load, the life will more than double due to lowered internal losses. At least that's a theory anyway. Kind of an efficiency increase along the line of increased voltage (I know buck versus boost).

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
They are not the biggest, i consider them to be medium sized batteries.

I think i wattered the jiffy pots too much and some mold appeared on top, but i also think plants are ready to pop out. I threw in some radishes on Wednesday and they popped out on Friday!! (fast food)

Have no idea what to do about the mold (it's not much) and i had them outside today for air and some sun.
Strawberries seem to be the most difficult to germinate. :(

I need to get some watermelon seeds from the states, anyone can buy them for me? I'll paypal the money and postage.
