I'm going to get my seeds started soon. I'll start with tomatoes and peppers and go from there. We can't plant until May 15th or even June 1st anyway so no point in getting started too soon.

It rained and rained today. So nice!!!!!! We might even get a bit of snow tonight. Yay!!!! Hubby doesn't have to work tomorrow so perfect timing.

I went out and did poop patrol in the rain after feeding the critters. Really, just a good excuse to wander around the yard in the rain:)

I may have some watermelon seeds you can have, Trit. I'll look at what we've got. We always grow Desert King yellow watermelons and New Queen watermelons.

Beefsteaks just aren't the same thing, Sandy. These are a very old seed line with no hybridization at all. Beefsteaks are a hybrid, today, for the most part. We originally bought them in a grocery store as ripe tomatoes, then saved the seeds and grew more ourselves. That was before we had the house and garden by a number of years and we ran out of seeds for them. I have yet to find the same specific tomato.

moanin' Voltville.

What's interesting to me is that while Sony is trying to reduce noise on a digital audio system the sale of vinyl discs for analog players is on the rise, again. Yeah, they're not really portable, but there is some kind of "magic" about a turntable and record. It's a shame that Sony is running out of breakthrough ideas at the moment, but sometimes the well can run low on water.

We got clobbered last night with 9" of snow. We still had 3-4" before this started. Rave & her BF were here to help me with insulating and patching holes in my crawl space but left before the snow hit. She's on her way home now in this :censored: I'm worried but she is only nervous.:facepalm: Is there a difference? Anyway, she said she'd email me when she got home. Gawd I'm sooooo ready for Spring.

Terry, I'm trying my best to get spring going with all the spring photos, but I don't think it's doing much good. Like Awsum, it's snowing lightly, with maybe 3" by tomorrow morning. No sleet predicted here, though. But the temperatures are up in the mid-20s, so it feels warm today, and Wednesday, it may actually go above freezing. We'll have rain then, though, they say, which should make the snow on the ground icy.

We got about a half in of snow then it turned to sneet then to sleet. Now, it appears to be raining and I'm not going out to find out for certain. Our street has a nice coat of slush on it and if it is raining, that will probably turn into a nice coating of ice before they get out to spread salt.

Heck, Terry, 9" isn't all that much. The first year we were in this house we had 24" storms two weeks apart. We have been lucky, so far, this year though and have only gotten a few inches at a time. Actually it would have been better if it all came at once so it just had to be cleaned up once.

Well this is the most we've gotten all Winter so it's kind of a big deal to me. We don't get 9" in Washington so it's a lot to me. ;)

Rave made it home safely. She said the roads were clear all the way. Whoot!

Thanks for trying but I guess Spring will get here when it feels like it. I sure hope it's soon.

Or - At least bring on the rain to wash it all away . . . I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO SHOVEL OR DIG OUT THE CAR TOMORROW MORNING TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD . . . Just Sayin' ...
