I transplanted some spider plants today :) One that was given to me was so rootlocked and grown wrapped around the outdide of the bottom of the plastic pot that I had to literally cut it out of the plastic pot! I hope I did not stun it too bad :) it seems ago, but time will tell. I felt so sorry for the poor thing having to live like that eithout dirt on the bottom of it's roots :(

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

Ducklady, spider plants actually like to be root bound and will generally not produce runner babies until they are root bound. However, it does sound as if those poor plants needed your tender loving care!!!!!

Hubby is doing a very nice job of stacking wood.
Wow! I did not know that! I put them in a bigger pot, and then transplanted 2 more into a big pot, one I have had for a year from my Mom and the other was given to me. So, now I have three spider plants :)

BTW that is a nice stack of wood. He did a nice job stacking :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
moanin', Volties.

There was a "ten things you don't want in your garden" on Yahoo yesterday. Wisteria, bamboo and mint were prominently mentioned as "aggressive". I guess spider plants fall into that category as well. Maybe it's because they are actually weeds that we happen to like just behaving like the weeds they really are.

I notice that the right hand of the rack is not packed as tight. He must have been getting tired trying to get the max in.

That is just the half cord of Douglas fir he is going to sell. He has lots more in the wood shed categorized as Russian Olive, Elm, pinion pine and miscellaneous fruitwoods:) I guess he will have to stack the Jeffrey pine we just got outside.

Do you live somewhere where it is warm enough for spider plants to live year round outside? I have to bring mine in during the winter or they will die and they will not come back :(
Hete are my Spider plants :)

Ought to have the racks outside as a windbreak in the winter, unless you don't want to have to spend energy to melt/dry.

Fortunately, we now have a windbreak in that area consisting of Russian olive tree, buffalo berry large shrubs. staghorn sumac, pines, oak leaf sumac shrubs, a few greasewood shrubs and asparagus. The asparagus doesn't really add to the wind break but it sure tastes good.

Ducky -- the perfect name! And here is a neighbor's peony, just for you -- though everyone else can enjoy it, too, of course.

So pretty. I have three that survived but they are not blooming this year. They take awhile to mature.
