Ether would evaporate very quickly, thus chilling the area to be injected, and dulling the pain. Terry, was that when you were still smoking? LOL.

I talked to Rave a little while ago so I'll elaborate on her post.
Her dr numbed her wrist with sprayed ether which she of course could smell and it made her very woozy. Then he jerked her thumb to get her thumb in the right position and then injected her in her thumb and then into the top of her wrist between the joints. She says her hand feels like it has a bee's hive in it with thousands of bees buzzing around. 8-o, she is in a lot of pain and still woozy and has her left arm in a sling. Her BF is staying with her another night to help her out. Hopefully the bees and some of the pain will be gone tomorrow. Sheesh, what an ordeal.
Has anybody heard of using ether to numb an area before an injection? My dr sprayed something cold on my shoulder but I didn't smell a thing.
I never heard of using ether, either. In fact, when I read it, it made me wonder. But I'm not a doctor, and there's a lot I've never heard of.

That was my turning vet theme and I don't hide the fact that I love hunks. I may be unavailable but I'm not dead. I guess I can understand why the guys wouldn't like searching for hunks. I wouldn't enjoy searching for hot chicks.
