WOW - "RAVE" - SO SO HAPPY ! ! ! - To read that the shot has worked for "You" so far . . . :rickroll:

BTW: I remember having this discussion about meal times somewhere on ECF before . . . AND - What people call certain meals during the day does vary from area to area and/or the time of day you were eating, however the order of specifc meals were commonly called:

Breakfast - Brunch - Lunch - Tea - Dinner - Supper

AND - Wikipedia can tell Ya' Why and When these names for meals came about and/or changed (I 'm stuck using a tablet right now and linking to them is difficult) . . .

For "Me" Breakfast was in the morning, Lunch was sometime during midday , Dinner was in the evening, and Supper was late at night and lighter then a Dinner would be - something you would get after a show or the theater . . . AND - Of course BUNCH was always on the weekends anywhere from 11 AM - 3 PM (but usually closer to 2 PM for "Me" & My Friends . . . :D

NOW - If I eat 2 Meals a day that is enough (usually only a really good dinner with a large portion of protein), with some grazing in between . . . ;)

Today, I went to the barn twice. First, when I got there, I noticed that Sunny had ripped another of Penny's blankets. It's the light one, just a little more than a rain sheet, which is what I need for her now. It's warm in the middle of the day, but it goes down to freezing at night. So I took off the blanket and let her graze in the yard and gave her a short grooming. I planned to leave the blanket off till late afternoon, then return and put it on after I had taken it home to patch with duct tape.

Meanwhile, while I was there, I spoke to the barn owner about how Sunny is destroying my blankets, and I didn't want Penny in his pasture anymore. She said she'd have to think about what to do instead, but right then, she was rushing off to somewhere.

So I went home with the blanket, leaving Penny nude for the day, which is good for her, since it's warm enough, and if I lived there, I'd remove the blanket at midday on these warm days. But I figured she'd roll in the mud, which is really gooey, and I'd have a big job cleaning her this evening.

Luckily, when I went back, she hadn't rolled. That saved me quite a bit of grooming. I took her out on grass again for a while and groomed her again. I hadn't spent too much time this morning, figuring I'd be cleaning mud off her this evening.

On the way to the barn and back, I noticed some willow trees just starting to get leaves. They are always the first. So on the return trip, I took my camera. I did take the willow trees on the way home, but the pictures are ho-hum. However, the sun was setting, and it looked great shining through the trees, so I stopped and took that in a few places, and here's the best photo: tonight's sunset.

Hopefully Sunny or Penny will get moved. I'm sure Penny isn't too please with getting bitten all the time. Bad horse! :glare:

Beautiful pic! :)

I wanted to sneak this in before Sandy says goodnight. :) This is a more recent shot, about 3 yrs ago taken with my Nikon digital camera. It was taken off the Oregon coast near the California border.

Terry, that's gorgeous. And Jerry, maybe the water isn't much different, but the shore sure is. I guess up in Maine the shore is more rocky like the Pacific coast, but the part I'm used to, in New Jersey, is very different. Also, the water is colder, but so is it in Maine. I'm not sure about the RI coast. Maybe that's like Maine?

Sandy, the north Atlantic is a cold and cruel ocean. We have great beaches here in RI, it's not rocky like Maine is. The water is cold though, at least compared to the south. I couldn't believe how warm the water was at Savannah (Georgia) Beach. You could stay in it all day. Not like here, where it's "get wet and get out".

My main West Coast experience with the ocean is California, specifically around San Francisco. But my first view of the Pacific was when we came out to the coast in Oregon. I think we never went as far north as Washington. All the way down the coast from Oregon to SF, the coast was rocky. There are sand beaches here and there, interspersed with the rocks, but it's more like Maine than like New Jersey.

Time to say good night. Since we're discussing water, here's another water shot from the other day. The creek at the farm today was roaring, too. I heard the sound in the background while I was grooming Penny, and at first, I thought it was distant farm machinery of some sort. Then I realized it was the creek nearby. Redwing blackbirds were singing, too.

Morning All!

Beautiful photos Sandy and Terry.

I sure hope that Penny gets moved away from Sunny. That sounds like a bad situation to me. And expensive.

Yesterday was a bit of a downer for me when I found out that the 30% off Home Depot coupon only applies to online items. None of the lumber that I need can be purchased online. Then I went to tallying up what it would cost for the first stage of construction and got even more shaken. Lumber prices sure have gone up! It's less expensive at Menard's, but it's still too rich for my pocketbook. I'm thinking that my first step will have to be even smaller than I'd hoped. I dunno. I feel like the rug was pulled out from under me.

I never did get to plant seeds yesterday, so I'll do that today. Doing something uplifting is what I need right now.

Terry - I think that you sent your weather my way. :glare: It rained all night last night and that is supposed to continue until Friday afternoon. We're supposed to get many inches of rain during that time period. We're under a Flood Watch beginning tonight. April showers bring May flowers, right?

Have a good day, everyone! :)

Great photos, Casey!

OK who is using what kind of tablet and how do you like it. I mean a tablet, not an Ereader. My Vizio is now sleeping with the fishes. Battery won't charge and it won't even boot when plugged into a charger, and yes I tried two different chargers and cables. I hate Android, hate Win8 even more and can't even decide if it's worth replacing something that runs an OS with a cute little name like "fluffer nutter". For those of you not aware, Android, after version 2.x or so, does not support Adobe Flash and vice versa, which kind of kills a lot of embedded video and animations.

Mine is an older Asus with a core 2 duo so it behaves like a quad core. I did rebuild it with a massive power supply, 850 watts, added memory for 8 gigs total and a Cuda based 1gig video card. There's almost a terabyte of drive in it. All it does, really, is folding@home and run the video security software. I'm not into games and not really into photo manipulation. Between tax time, working on the lawn (seed and fertilizer), working on my solar water heater and buying ever more vaping goodies, the last thing I want to do is buy another tabet, but.....
