Evie wants to meet Lis, but I can't find him. I think he's shy.

It's a really neat town. Here in NY, they call it a village. A town is a larger area, sometimes not even with a center with that name. It's like a township was when I lived in Pennsylvania. It's a larger area than a village but not as big as a county.

I looked up the population, since I wasn't sure. In 2012, it was 1,815. Remember, a lot of those people don't live in the village, even if their address is Trumansburg. Outside the village are farms, clusters of houses, etc., that are still considered Trumansburg.

Sounds perfect (except for the weather).

Here's the building the village offices are in. They have talked about tearing this down and building something modern, but I hope they don't.



Here it is decorated for Christmas.



Around the back is the police station. I love how quaint it is!

You'd love Port Townsend. It bigger than your village with somewhere around 20,000 but the city has kept chain stores out so it's still pretty quaint and poor. Lots of business have closed in the last couple of years.

My gramma lived in Brasher Falls (Winthrop) NY her whole life. Its right next door to Syracuse. Roughly 4 hours from you, Sandy! And it is tiny!!! In the Winthrop section (2010 census) only 510 residents My Mama grew up there. I used to run up and down the roads up there and the tiny park had an outhouse! My mom took an embarassing picture of me when I was little in that dang outhouse!

This evening was alot better than this morning. We were busy all day so it went by pretty quick. I'm off tomorrow to take my son to his track meet. They call it sectionals before state finals I think.

This evening was alot better than this morning. We were busy all day so it went by pretty quick. I'm off tomorrow to take my son to his track meet. They call it sectionals before state finals I think.

I hope that your son wins tomorrow, Princess !!!!! The banks are usually busy on Fridays. At least ours was.

My day was ok. I got some things done and I even cooked some potatoes, to go with leftover chicken. Yup, I can cook a bit, I call it survival cooking.

It looks like a great place to live except for the weather.

If you like 4 seasons, though, you get them here. Of course, I wish spring and fall were a little longer. But you get a lot of rain in the Pacific Northwest. That could be dreary. I'd rather see snow covering everything in white than a gray, rainy day. However, we do get a lot more rain than other areas. It makes everything green, though. But I guess that could be your justification for rain, too. And you have those lovely snow-capped mountains and the water. Beautiful country, too.

There are so many different kinds of places to live in the US, and so many of then have their own special beauty.
