Just mixed some juice: LA Cheesecake + LA Piña Colada + TFA Pie Crust...Millionaire Pie maybe? (thanks, Evie) We'll find out in a couple of days...left out the pecans and cherry on top though. I love eating them, but I hate vaping them. Wish I had some cream cheese...Vapor Bomb makes the best cream cheese! :p

Been on a crazy pie kick lately. First coconut cream, then blueberry, now this. But I'm all out of pie crust (dangit, good stuff), so...

We opted for a motel tonight so we could relax and get a decent nights sleep. We're exausted. We haven't eatin good or had much sleep the last 2 days. We'll hit the road around noon and drive while it's cooling down and continue on thru the night to somewhere in Illinois. This has been another grueling trip that rivals Amtrac. At least Amtrac has ac. We could reach Rave's on tues so Rave will u be ready for us then?

I hope jeepers gets fixed but maybe you should trade it in for something else. It sounds like a money pit. A nice looking money pit but just sayin... :D

I hope we find out! In about six months I will be wishing for a warm rear, LOL!

I'm 784 ft above sea level. :D

What a coincidence. I'm 786 feet above sea level. :)

Here ya go, Q. I just LOVE the way they describe this thing: Hot Buns .... Warmers at AWSM.com

Hi volties!!! I am at my mom's taking care of my grandmother. All I have is my kindle fire and it is very annoying to use. I hope all y'all are well. Just wanted to let y'all know I haven't fallen off the earth. :)

Hey Celti! Good to see you again!! :D

Bite your tongue, young lady!! The way I look at it, if you replace all of the bad stuff, eventually you end up with a brand new car. Right? Anyhow, "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know." It's only a 2007 and has plenty of life in it yet. It simply needs ... assistance.

It ain't a road trip if you don't hit up any motels or greasy diners. I woulda gained 10 lbs. by now!
Naw. Don't you know that calories consumed when you are out of your home state don't count? At least, that's what I kept telling myself when I was touring.

Good morning everyone. It's been a ridiculously busy weekend for me. Jeepers is now vacationing away from home. We're going to pick our battles as far as what to repair right now since Terry and BF are using a vehicle that's overheating and has no AC. My BF will just replace the last remaining wheel bearing and get it aligned. The wiring is not critical. It only means that I don't have ABS or 4WD for the moment, but that can wait until Terry and Co. head back home. I should be able to get my Jeepers back by Wednesday barring unforeseen circumstances.

More heavy equipment in the woods yesterday. I was surprised to see a Kubota appear in my surveillance that was so orange it could make your eyes bleed. Apparently the earth around my son's concrete piers settled substantially in the recent rains and he needed back-filling.

I've got a sick glider. Squeezles is the matriarch of the colony and is quite old. Apparently she has pneumonia. She was treated to a penicillin injection in the nape of her neck last night in my living room. I was afraid she'd be terribly angry with me but she acted as if she didn't even feel it. It did shake her up a bit though. Afterwards, I gave her a yogurt drop - a favored glider treat that looks like a white chocolate chip. After she took it, she grabbed my finger tip and held onto it the whole time that she held the treat with the other hand while she ate it. She's never done that before. I felt a lot better after that. Hopefully, the shot will help her get past the pneumonia. If not, she'll get another shot on Wednesday night. Fingers and toes crossed.

Hope that y'all have a good day!

I am somewhat higher, two readings from Wunderground are 900 and 950.

I remember saying that about my LeSabre. I chose between a rustbucket and a car my mechanic knew.

Sad to hear about Squeezles. I hope she survives the crisis. Do you have a breeding pair to get your mind off the inevitable?

I hope squeezles is better bt the time we get there. Maybe she just missed me. LOL!

we got a good nights rest and may leave earlier then planned this morning since the temp here is only 70 in Nebraska. We are hoping we've left the 90's behind us.

From your weary traveler, typing from bed in an ac room. :)

Traveling can be rough, Terry. I'll have to tell you about my solo trip in my old van from Las Vegas all the way to Seattle. Wow, that was something else. Break downs, illness, adventure galore.

Poor little Squeezles. Hope she feels better. Jeepers, hang in there:)

I had a wonderful time fishing yesterday. We went to Weber reservoir. I got photos which I will try to put up tomorrow.

It was 104 yesterday at our place and record breaking high temps in Reno and Carson city.

The horses looked fine despite the heat.

I'm still pretty exhausted and sore but a day off did help.

I have to clean a house today. I'm going to do my best to survive this day and come back home to my nice cool house. He does have AC and he is going to have to run it for me today!

WOW!! You have made good time. You should have relatively cool traveling for the rest of the trip. I take it you are not planning on going through Chicago??

Terry, I hope your ordeal is over soon. Your travels lately have been fraught with problems. Let's hope it's clear sailing from here on.

Thanks Sandy. Me too. I hate traveling. One of the mt passes made all my tanks leak but going over the Rockies at 9000+ feet didn't. Go figure.

Squeezle's mate is Dizzy, but he has been neutered. Before I had that done, they had three daughters. So, if Squeezles passes on, I'll still have four. There will be no unauthorized breeding in this household!

Today's high here will be 83, but it's supposed to plummet to a high of 71 tomorrow. Almost chilly! I probably won't need to turn on the AC until Saturday. :D

I'm so glad that you were able to get away for some fun. You may be exhausted, but the type of exhaustion that you get from having fun is much more tolerable than any other type. Can't wait to see pics!

No, we planned to avoid Chicago. :)

Ohhhh - that's ALWAYS a good plan!
