Good morning, Voltpeeps.

Snow, in Greece? Really?

That basin is heart shaped, Zero!

I've been threatening to put some photos up.

My adorable little buddies with their new shelter.

The inside of their shelter.

The back side of their shelter. I think I'll have good enough weather to paint it white next week.

Lizzie, you did a great job on the run-in shed. It looks great, even w/o the white paint.

Thanks, SandySu. I wouldn't bother to paint but we have $275 in plywood and I want it to last a lot of years!

here is a SandySu style photo of a tumbleweed that has turned bright purple with the fall weather. Those are the flowers. They aren't usually this colorful even in the fall.

Of course, I pulled it up and threw it away after I took the photo. I'm done weeding out tumbleweeds!

I never saw tumbleweed in bloom and had no idea it had such pretty flowers! It's a shame it's such a nuisance.

In reality, those flowers are tiny, smaller than a pencil erasure across and paper thin. They aren't generally colored like this. That is unusual. So, I don't think they are all that pretty except for this one time of the year and this one year only:)

Hiya Volties, hope everyone has a great day. I'm still lurking around but it's been so dang boring, I've got nothing to share. Lots of rainy days lately, I think I need some sunshine.

Sometimes I think you peeps with rain are so lucky!!!!

Of course, rain is mostly why I love being away from Seattle.

Michigan
It's too early for snow -- though I remember one Halloween when we got a regular blizzard. I think Michigan's climate is a lot like ours.

Yes, I only remember one Halloween that we had snow, but we've had more than a few really cold ones. That's not counting the really northern parts of Michigan, they get snow a lot sooner than I do. I think they've already had snow in the UP.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
It probably depends on what you do Sandy.
When climbing on winter times we use gloves that have 3 fingers open which keep the working fingers open, easier to work with. Not that warm though.
I found out that timberland pro gloves (the ones i use i think are not available anymore but the warm effect ones look similar.) are best for work since they are tough and warm but they are way too expensive, i have a pair but don't use them at work and make sure to keep them clean and not used much.. I'll use them on the bike for the winter. Tried them at -15 celcius for hours but it's impossible to use a computer with them.

North face ones are good too but even more expensive and not suitable for work.
