"Evie"- "My" Sincerest of Condolences . . . Of Course, Sending "GOOD VIBES" & "Positive Thoughts" . . . to "You" and the rest of Your Family . . . AND - While it is never ever easy for anyone to go through a "Love Loss" - I hope the following will bring some solace to "Everyone" . . .

"I Wish You Enough"

And when, 'I wish you enough,’ I want you to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain you . . .

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive & everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE . . .

(Edited Version by "Uncle" - Original Author Unknown)

"Remember . . ."

And as long as I am in your heart, stay in your memory, and fill your soul . . .
I will always be alive and with You.

As everyone seems to be chiming in on their early winter woes, I'd thought I'd add my :2c: worth.

This is what I woke up to yesterday morning:

Oh, I'm not at home. I'm up taking care of my parents for a while (I may have stayed too long).

Wow, that is some snow.

I hibernated yesterday:) It's been pretty chilly here. 12 degrees overnight for a couple of nights although last night was only 26 degrees. Should be warming up a bit this week and they are claiming it will be 52 degrees today with a chance of rain. I hope we do get some rain.

Check out the limestone sludge at the bottom of the pan after simmrring water all day.

That's a lot of lime. Check out JCPenny for the insulating curtains. Usually you can find a good deal and you can close them at night or when you aren't looking out the window. I thought the colors were pretty good, too, when I bought mine. Also, they did let light filter in so it wasn't like having black out curtains.

I like low humidity. We've been as low as 3% but today is 28% inside the house.

We've got cold weather here, too. I think the high today was 29 degrees F. I went to see Penny and put her warmer blanket on her. I take everything into the pasture so I don't have to deal with Jasmine while trying to get Penny out of the pasture. It's inconvenient, but I have a feeling Jasmine would make life difficult if I tried to take Penny away, and I just don't want to deal with it.

So I went out there bag & baggage, with my grooming tote and her warmer blanket and the bib she wears under the blankets to keep them from rubbing. With all that, I forgot to get Penny's halter & lead where it hangs near the gate. So I left the stuff in the field and went back for the halter & lead. I did remove Penny's lighter blanket first and added it to the pile.

Jasmine is such a monkey! While I was walking across the field, she raided my grooming tote, meanwhile stepping on Penny's fresh blanket and getting it muddy before it was even worn. Jasmine had every single item out of the tote and scattered in the grass. I had a plastic bag of carrots in there, and she didn't try to get them. I was amazed. She is a horse that needs a toy! I was thinking of taking something to the pasture she could play with, but I bet she'd ignore it in favor of what I don't want her playing with.

Emptying the tote reminded me to take home stuff that'll freeze and isn't necessary now that it's cold -- like fly spray. So in a way, Jasmine helped me, though I think I could have figured it out on my own.

Jasmine is making me laugh. Nevada likes to go through the grooming tote and pull things out, too.

Terry came to visit today. We didn't get nearly as much accomplished as we'd hoped. We both ended up kinda tired after shopping at Walmart for so long. And, she wanted to leave for home before dark. We'll save a trip to Goodwill and the consignment shop for another day. :)

While we were sitting in the matched LazYBoys by the window overlooking my creek, I spotted a couple of does in the back yard-not. They were bedded down very close to the back of my house. Looking a bit further, I found a third doe. I'd just about bet the farm that they are hanging out at my place because it's hunting season. They know that no harm will come to them here.

It sure was nice hanging out with Terry. Can't wait for the warmer season when the days are longer. It never quite seems like enough time ...

That's exactly my view of snow.

It was snowing quite vigorously in patches as I drove home from tutoring. Nothing sticking too much, but it was blowing across the road in those funny squiggly lines that fascinate me. I think tomorrow morning, we'll see a winter wonderland, though maybe not as deep as BWhare's snow.

I call those "snakes". They always fascinate me too.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I took a ride and looked at the fire damage at the farmers market today. The fire was stopped by fire walls and was at the corner of the "L", well away from the butcher that does the turkeys for Thanksgiving. The fire even made FNC this morning and my sister called to tell me it made the local news in NYC as well. That market has been there since the 1920's.

Dang...your pics turned out way better than mine or were those the pics I took with your camera? LOL!

Yeah time was short but it was fun. Although you made me spend WAY too much money.

I got a different humidifier and some insulated curtins for my slider. So far so good with both. :)

Let's hope that the undamaged part of the market will still open and you can get your turkeys! If it's possible (safety being a consideration), I think they'll open, rather than disappoint a lot of vendors and customers.

Not really, Sandy, because I enjoy walking in the woods, in the colder weather or on the sidewalk after dark. That white sh......er.....stuff, messes it all up, for me. I like walking, not trudging through the snow. The sidewalk isn't much better, than the woods, even if they clear the sidewalk, which they don't always do, I have to deal with the ice that's left behind.

These won't help walking in deep snow, but on ice they may be a life-saver. Ice Cleats for Shoes, Snow Cleats, Spiky Ice Cleats
