Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
Roland i'll stick to win7 pro 64 for now, seems all my soft for the cellular base stations (ethernet, usb, java etc) work fine, also my programming soft etc.
It will not offer anything more except problems.
I need power anyway, lucky i can upgrade to a core i7 later if needed.

Just came back from the beach.
Off course not for fun, came back 20:37 lol

I just finished lunch after spending the morning, well a couple of hours anyway, in the garden weeding, fertilizing and "primping" everything. 96Fhere with enough humidity to make you feel like you're in the water.

I don't think there will be software issues with Win10. From what I've read they are integrating the touch screen stuff into, basically, Win7. The big problem is all the good old, familiar, locations and names for things are getting moved around. Why that is necessary beats the heck out of me. With the base of users familiar with Windows from version3.x on up to Win7 it seems kind of like "let's ply nasty tricks with stuff just for the heck of it" to me. I don't know, maybe it can't be done with touchy-feelie being incorporated, but it just seems kind of dumb to me.

SO what were you doing at the beach?

Well, at least you were working and, hopefully, gainfully. The "feels like" temperature here is floating into the low to mid 100s today so I can more than sympathize. Even with the heat and sun I was soaking wet when I got done outside.

If you guys get a chance to try this,

56_sorbet-island.jpg

Mmmmm, so good! First I've seen of a packaged food too: they put the sorbet back into the actual hollowed out fruit (coconut flavor in coconut shell, etc.), so it's kinda fun to eat. Have no idea where my nephew got this stuff. I'm guessing Costco, since it's right next to the Kirkland lasagne in the freezer.

Then follow it up with a root beer float vape like I just did. I think I died and went to heaven! :p

We just had a nasty line of storms come through and I did something I rarely do...unplugged anything that has a "chip" front end, microwave, TVs, PCs, AC and all the peripherals for the computers. The lights were flickering like heck for a while and the lightening was really intense. It blew through in about a half hour, but that was a tumultuous half hour. At 6PM it was 92, at 7PM it was 72. The upside is that it's supposed to be a nice day tomorrow.

I'll have a look for that stuff when we go to Costco this week, Cindy. I will forgo the root beer vape though, tobaccos are the only way to go for me.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

Cindycated - The frozen desserts sound delicious. I will have to check out the frozen section when I go to Costco.

Awsum - Wow, sounds like you had quite the thunderstorm. I'm with you, Awsum. Love me some tobacco vape. I just made 100 ml of 555 and Marlboro and ry4 in three different milligrams. I might add some juicy peach to part of the M type. Nom, nom.

Well, we did Fathers Day smoked turkey and Hubby did a magnificent job of cooking. We had red potatoes in foil, smoked turkey and raspberry-watermelon-romaine salad. So good!

The heat is on around here. Should be high nineties today and looks like 100's for the next couple of weeks with a few dips into the high nineties. Yuck!

I guess at least I will rest up and get the house cleaned.

We are having trouble with some of the tubing in the veggie garden. It isn't watering properly. We got a new kind of tubing and my gardening buddy will be coming over to help me change out some of the tubing tomorrow morning.

So far, all we have is Chinese pea pods and snap peas.

moanin', Voltville.

The storms were sort of weird. I unplugged everything when I saw the amount of lightening approaching from the west. As the storm went by, the light flickered and dimmed a few times but nothing all that serious. After 7 I powered everything back up and it was fine. We went to bed and about ten minutes after "lights out" the lights really went out and stayed out for about a half an hour. I was getting ready to fire up the generator when they came back on.

I've got to walk the yard and pick up all the branches that came down before I can mow today. Nothing really big came down, but I don't want to mow what did. It is nice out, low 70's and low humidity which is refreshing.

Our garden got off to a slow start, but with the rain and heat has started moving along. The green beans are climbing all over the trellis of string, the tomatoes are taller than the cages and covered with blooms, but the melons and cucumbers are lagging behind. I'm going to put in another crop of carrots today, too.

I need all your vibes for my cat, Tom, to return home. He's been gone since Sunday morning, and he's now 18 years old, deaf, and feeling his age. Still, he's been in fairly good health and he has disappeared before for about 3 days, but it has always worried me, and now more than ever, since he's older and less alert. I made the decision to let him out to roam as he is so much happier with the freedom, but of course that means he's more in harm's way. He could have been hit by a car, eaten by coyotes, shut in someone's garage, or some other thing I can't even imagine. On the other hand, he may just be enjoying the warm weather. His good friend Jacob, an orange cat belonging to a neighbor, hasn't been around to see Tom, which he regularly is, so I wonder if Jacob is with him or knows he's not here. Here's a picture of Tom taken some years ago when he was younger and more fit-looking than now.

I hope you find him, and I am so sorry :(
I know how worrisome that is, and I am sure you are so worried.

Good morning, Voltians.

SandySu - I meant to say I hope you find Tom. It's very worrisome considering his age that you can't find him.

I have decided to rearrange the office. What was I thinking. So much work.

It's always the domino effect.

I'm rearranging the office.

Then, I am moving the music stuff into the office from the bedroom.

Then, I am moving my bookshelf from the office into my bedroom since Hubby doesn't really want to read my books anyway.

Then, I will be rearranging the bedroom.

It is so hot out for the next few days, I guess I figured I could work in the house after 10am.

I'm hoping to consolidate or get rid of a number of items including some books.

Right now, while it is still cool out, I am going out to put some new tubing on the veggie garden. This is no time for bad watering. Supposed to be 100 today.

WOW ! ! ! Finally got throuh all the post I missed reading for the past few days. . . Don't mean be as absent from "Voltville" as often, but have been busy elsewhere and trying to get some personal "Stuff" taken care of . . . Thankfully though I am not just a "Blip" on "Your" screen . . . ;) (Although, there really needs to be more "Blips" everywhere . . . Right - "Wuzz" . . . )

AND - With so many things that I would like to comment on, I think that I will limit it to only a few - especially so that I don't bore anyone . . .

First and most important, @SandmySu . . . Really hope Ya' find "Tom" and that he is well . . . "GOOD VIBES" being sent "Your" way . . . :)

Now as for the discussion about tablets and "dumb-phones" couldn't agree anymore then what has been said on both sides , epscially "awsum" rant concerning the intrusiveness by google and "wuzz"/"Liz" delinating when they are really handy and can be NEEDED for (although I should mention that when using the tablet - I can only connect to the internet when there is free access as I am doing now). . .

Personally, I have both and also have a love-hate emotion when it comes to their practicle use, especially when traveling or on the road . . . However, I must admit that most of the time I am extreamly fraustrated using either one compaired to using a laptop with XP Pro - particularly when trying to view & compose a message to post here . . . ;) (BTW: have a bluetooth KB & Mouse which most times is a PIa to not only use, but carry around . . . THANKFULLY, I finally found a replacement on-screen keyboard that includes curser keys which is really helpful to get around so I can edit stuff ... )

Now - As |I mentioned last week, I'm on "My" usual trip North farwell tour . . . Got up here yesterday and the plane trip actually went very well with no big hicthes, except for taking off 25 minutes late since the plane was full and took people that long to put their bags in the over head bins . . . Again, all in all - it was a very GOOD TRIP . . . AND - As "awsum" has already reported - It's not as hot here as they've been predicting - Only in the low 70's right now . . . Guess it was the storm that went through the day before I got here . . . Another good thing is that it is supposed to stay in the 70's with intermitant showers for the week . . . WHich will be a GREAT relief of having to deal with the high temp's and even higher feel like temps in the 100's that are in Florida . . . :) :thumb:

Anyway - I really hope that everyone will be having it just as good and will be staying cool or at least comfortable . . . :D

Last but not least . . . @rave . . . Miss Ya' Lady and "Your" post . . . Hope everything is getting a little better for "You" . . . "GOOD VIBES" still being sent "Your" way . . . {{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}}

I'm glad you made it safe and sound and still sane, Uncle. Cooler weather must be nice!!!!!!

I have completed my room redos and it is 100 degrees outside so I won't be going out until it starts cooling off!!!!!

I did run out and make sure the horses and goats got some cool water in their trough.
