Semi - hate the heat.

Terry - You will never get used to the sticky heat in the summer, in Seattle we thought we were going to die when it hit 80 degrees. buy some off bug spray and only go out at night:) Still, having your own slice of paradise is going to come with one season you don't like, no matter where you live.

Wuzz - You have had some incredible cold spells down there. I would just love to see that area of the US. So incredibly different from anywhere else I have been...I am sure.

Weather is like relatives, it comes an goes.

YEA - But like some extreme relatives - I really wish they would go a lot sooner, or better yet never show up at "My" door . . . Matter of fact, this is a "Non-Welcoming" abode to any and all relatives with any of the usual drama, or for that matter freeloading a vacation home for a week or more . . .

BTW:
There are reasons for all the Hotels/Motels around here, just wish there were more like this around for some of those relatives too . . .

That's probably the only thing I'm liking about SF right now. The weather is pretty much the same all year long. Hardly ever goes below 40°F or above 80°F.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Much as I complain about the heat and humidity, then complain about the cold and snow, I'd kind of miss it all if things stayed the same year 'round. The beauty of Spring, the big fluffy clouds on a hot Summer day, the look of all the trees blazing in color in the Fall and the silent majesty of a snowstorm, and its' aftermath, in the Winter.

Now if I just didn't have to pull weeds, mow, shovel/blow snow, heat the house, run the AC and could dress the same way year around I'd have it made.

Wuzz, I got out my violin for your cold spells, a toothpick and three hairs that fell out.

Terry, you'll never really get used to the humidity but over time it won't seem quite as bad most of the time.

Going out to pull weeds, 92 with 85% right now.

I am hope you guys don't mind me highjacking your thread for a moment. I have a question about my Smokeless Image Vivi Nova. Can I use one of those fancy driptips on it, but not actually DRIP. Just vape with it?
I don't know but we don't mind you coming on the thread.

You're not hijacking at all! Don't pay attention to the prattle here and ask any time you have a question! Can't guarantee the veracity of the answers, though, LOL!

It looks like the Vivi Nova has a replaceable drip tip. If that is, indeed, the case, any 510 style drip tip will work.

We aren't exactly going to SF but we're planning on going up PCH from Point Reyes north. Do you have any tips or suggestions for our trip?

Nice! That's up in Marin, right? Haven't been there since I was a kid, so sorry, no tips. Weather's usually pleasant (unless it's raining, then it rains a little harder up there than anywhere else), but keep a sweater in the car. Sometimes it gets a little windy by the water.

@Pamawoman , feel free to drop by and hang out any time! :) We chat about all kinds of stuff here, sometimes even about vaping!

I remember Highway 1 not being worth it until north of Eureka. Tough drive and not very scenic. But it gets prettier after Eureka. So yeah, maybe get the drive over with and take 101 until you get to Eureka, then hop on over to 1 after that.

Anyone else know about the coastal highway north through CA into Oregon and Washington? Didn't you used to live in CA sandysu?

In the summer it is very busy with tourist. That means slow driving. Lots of small towns you have to slow down for and looky loos looking at the beautiful ocean. It's been very hot there lately but you are probably use to that. It's a beautiful drive if you don't mind winding, clogged roads. I got some of my best photo shots along the Oregon coast.

I did, and we came south to SF that way. It was a gogeous drive but be aware that there are places in the road where there's a mountain on one side and a sheer drop to the ocean on the other that can be sort of scary, so drive the curves carefully. How far north are you going? When we arrived at the coast in Oregon, going south, we saw the fog climbing the hills and it was amazing to me. It marched up those hills with a purpose in the way I've never seen fog travel. I liked the power and purpose of the fog climbing the hills. Somewhere in Oregon, where we first got to the coast, we stopped at a roadside overlook and saw rocks and seals below. I was totally fascinated, though after living in the
SF area, I got more used to the sight of seals, actually sea lions. What really impressed me was, when we got to the coast and stopped at a store, maybe something like an auto parts store, totally not a restaurant, they served fresh coffee. I think fresh coffee is a necessity in the PNW. Inland a bit, which we didn't see on our way south, were redwood forests and Crater Lake, which we visited later. If you can afford some side trips, I'd suggest waggling your way northward, not just sicking to the coast, as beautiful as that trip is.
